How life can change in 6.5 weeks!
Hi Ladies--
Long time, no type! Being a new mom has totally trumped everything else and I've barely had time to get online these last 6+ weeks. If it wasn't for my iPhone, I don't think I'd have any link to the outside world.
I've added some random baby photos to my profile if you are interested.
Baby Joseph is doing well. At birth he was 6 lbs. 10 oz. and got as low as 5 lbs. 13 oz. As of last week, he was 8 lbs. 8 oz. Officially he is able to be put in his Baby Bjorn (something I've been looking forward to using) and of course, he HATES it! Everyday, I try again and hopefully he'll see the light. He's quite the foodie and loves to drink his bottles down. It amazes me that my wee little 6 week old sometimes eats as much as 7 oz. in one feeding. (Usually it is more like 5-6 ounces per feed.) He sleeps about 4 hours at a stretch, which seems pretty decent for a kid this young.
I love being a mom but am still in that overwhelmed stage where I wonder things like "When will I ever have the time to bake again?" Also, I'm so baby-focused, I have totally lost any interest in food. Weird, since I'm the foodiest foodie ever! On a positive note, this lack of interest in food has helped me to lose all of my 28.5 lbs. of pregnancy weight.
OK, I'm off to prep for tomorrow.
Hope everyone is doing well!

As a fellow baker, I can assure you will have time, once he starts sleeping more at night and you get onto a normal sleeping schedule yourself! I do most of my baking now after Rowan goes to bed!
Banded 03/22/06 276/261/184 (highest/surgery/lowest)
Sleeved 07/11/2013 228/165 (surgery/current) (111lbs lost)
Mom to two of the cutest boys on earth.
I'm the same about getting on the computer these days since having the twins 6 weeks ago. Thank you iPhone for giving me SOMETHING! LOL.
So wish I had your issue with food! I'm a constant snacker right now and I gotta stop. Ugh.
I also wish my kids would eat like your little one! They eat anywhere from 2.5 to 4 oz at a feeding every 4 hours. Sometimes, they'd just rather sleep. Even when they wake up starving, I can only get 2 oz in them sometimes. However, we are going thru SO MUCH FORMULA!
Now, I have to go look at your photos. We haven't taken much of the girls...so busy! LOL! You know how it goes with the 1st kid - lots of photos. 2nd kid - a few less....the 3rd/4th kids - iPhone pics when I get a chance! HA!
