LOL...Too high risk for the high risk Dr!
She's not a high risk OB (that I know of), but she might be able to recommend someone in the area. I just read your previous reply, wow you do have quite a lot to deal with. I sure hope you can find someone quickly who is willing (and able) to help you manage it all. I'll also check around with some of my friends to see if they know of any other good high risk OBs in the area.

Thanks! I called this one office at UT Southwestern and I talked to the insurance gal and told her my predicament and she is going to make a few calls for me. I hope she can track down some leads. I'm clueless over here. As it is, I know I will have to go 70 miles or more for a Dr. A lot of calling and leg work to be done. This gal also mentioned a maternal/fetal medicine Dr.? Maybe that's the type I'll need to see. WHo knows? LOL I'm tired already and it's only almost 9 o'clock! LOL
Well I was looking at some lists yesterday and one Doc would be classified high risk OB and then the next one would be maternal/fetal medicine Doc. Didn't know if there was a difference. Just thought a high risk OB saw it "all" if you KWIM. I was like, "Ok, is there something HIGHER than a high risk OB?" LOL Just seems dumb to be TOO high risk for a high risk Doc. It's a contradiction in terms to me. I guess they need to have a classification system:
Normal Pregnancy Doc
High Risk Doc
Higher High Risk Doc
Super Duper Gargantuan High Risk Doc
LOL Can't ya tell my frustration? LOL

I think you need to look for a maternal/fetal medicine doctor. But, you need to find a normal OB first that could see you for routine things. Plus, then they will refer you to a maternal/fetal doctor.
Here in Fort Worth, the top maternal/fetal group stopped delivering babies but care for you during your pregnancy. They do require you to be seeing an OB so you have someone to call for normal things. They just take care of your during pregnancy. I really hope you find a great physician.
I think someone from UT Southwestern would be able to help you locate someone. They will know some of the better physicians in the area. Plus, they have contacts to help you.

The lady from Southwestern called back and suggested that I call my previous OB to make a referral for me. I called them and they don't know who to refer me to. The doctor doesn't know of any Dr's to refer me to. The receptionist told me that I'll just need to call around. Gee thanks! I find it hard to believe that as long as he's been delivering babies, he doesn't know of a Dr that he could refer me to. How freaking insane. And I just get to call around......well heck, I don't even know where to start......lol I wanted this to be a stress free pregnancy and it's starting off VERY stressful. I can't even find someone to deliver the baby! LOL Better educate myself in the finer points of the C-section. Sounds like I'll need it. Ok, I'm being dramatic, but geesh! lol
