I now that I am only 183 seven months prego.  but i don't no what to do to slow it down, i don't eat high fat foods or sugar.  just the same diet all along.

Just really try to make sure everything you put in your mouth counts and is super healthy. Try to do just snacks all through the day. Small ones instead of meals. I'm feeling hungry a lot now and let me tell you, I haven't felt hunger very much in the past 2 1/2 years! lol Maybe it will help you with just snacking, 6 snacks a day if you're having hunger issues. Make them low fat protein snacks, mozzerella cheese, or some skim milk with carnation instant breakfast. My personal fave right no is cheese and crackers. 2 slices of cheese I eat the one slice by itself and the other slice gets divided into 4 and onto crackers. You can get whole wheat crackers. I like vegetable Ritz. Our WIC system changed here in TX recently and now you get a whole bunch of new things. Multigrain breads, tortillas, fruits and vegetables. And still the same old cheeses, cereals, juice, milk and eggs. Man, you can make a mean low fat high in multigrain quesidilla (sp?)! @ pieces of wheat tortilla, some shredded cheese. Add a little baked chicken breast chopped up if you like. We get tuna on our WIC here, you can put that in there and do a melt with some mozzerella cheese. Mmm Mmm goodness! LOL Saw some more good recipes on the WIC DVD they sent out. I just made these two up in my head. Although I have made some good southwestern style egg burritos with just  my WIC food. Wheat tortilla, scrambled eggs with shredded cheese. You can make your own salsa with the veggies you can buy. For added flavor, add a little already cooked pieces of chicken breast (I bought some in the lunch meat aisle). Little low fat sour cream or canned salsa. YUMMY too!

Ok, I'm getting carried away, but you get the idea. The weight gain only goes up at the end of the pregnancy. Or it has more of a tendency to anyway. A 23 pound gain so far is not terrible. It's not the end of the world. Munch only on the good stuff. Do some exercising in the house. You don't always have to go outside to be active, although sometimes it's funner! (Is funner a word? Well if it's not, I just made it one.....LOL) You'll be ok. You're not going to get to 314 pounds in 3 months. Ain't gonna happen. Unless you adopt a 130 pound child. LOL I think weight gain is a scare for everyone that's been in our shoes. It is for me, but I know it won't happen because the alternative (dying) is not a pretty one and I've got TOO much to live for. I'm in more danger of going the other way, losing too much, at this point but I've still got the gaining fear back there. We can't help it. Fat controlled us for WAY too long for it not to be back in our heads pesterin' us. Just think healthy, live healthy and you WILL be healthy. But don't sacrifice eating right now. You have a baby to grow and develop (sorry, I hate the term "baking" where growing a baby is concerned. bad case from where I live). You'll have the rest of your life after the baby is born to take off the 35 pounds you might gain. I worry more about after I have the baby because your mind is so occupied with the baby and taking care of her/him that you forget about yourself sometimes. Don't fall into that trap. Make your health first priority after delivery. A healthy Mom means a healthy baby. You can do it!!!

Sorry for the novel. I just hope I helped in some way. You're not alone!
