What the heck is my problem? I have a five week old. The first week, 25 lbs have fallen off and nothing since. I am weak! I ate 5 donuts from one night to the next last week. From yesterday to today- I ate a whole box of cookies! I can eat a whole box of cereal in 2 days!! I am so freaking uncontrollable! I had gastric bypass 4 years ago. I lost over 100 lbs- I was good- ate right/exercise. I have a 2 year old and a newborn. And recently- I mindlessly eat and devour bad foods like an animal! What's wrong with me. Why have I lost my strength to do what's right for my health. I am so mad at myself, I feel like a huge pig, and I don't know what to do. I can do good for some meals- then I ruin it by mindlessly snacking.. :( :( :( next time I just need to throw that junk away cause I know myself.

"I am currently getting back on track!

I hear you!  Believe me you aren't the only one!  I had surgery over 4 years ago as well and we just get back into our old habits.  I actually was trying to do better and ordered more protein shake mix, then found I was pregnant again.  I am actually going to sit down this morning and write out a schedule of what I need to eat, drink and take my vitamins.  Hour by hour.  It's really hard not to have junk food in the house since I have a few other kids and a husband in the house.  I know, we should all eat healthy but I am not going to deprive my kids of stuff all the time.  They can have some within reason.

I never was big on working out, but I need to start walking at least.
I would suggest everytime you go and grab something to eat, take a bit and throw the rest out...or get a drink of water.  Try and get in a protein drink or 2 as well.  I got really bad at not getting enough protein, I think that once I get enough that my cravings down down for the sweet stuff...

good luck, I am here for you to vent anytime!

I know.... I am the same way.  Since pregnancy I can tolerate so much more in the carb department and so I eat it.

I am not gaining weight, but I know I am not doing my body any good and I still have 10 lbs I'd like to lose.

I wish I had a magic answer.... it's super-hard to get back on track.  Maybe start posting to the "weigh in" thread and spending time on the surgery board reading the posts of the sucessful (and not so).

Good Luck!

Cindy
