Well...I am going to get my hair did....

After much debate....my hair just cannot wait any longer.  Its grown a good 6 inches and I can't stand it.  And though I'm just 31, the white hairs have come out to play...UGH!  I am also coloring it back to its natural color as I can't stand the highlights anymore.  I  know I'm in the second trimester, and I know the doctor's office has basically given me the okay("we can't tell you not to as there have been no studies indicating danger in the second trimester"), as much of an okay as that is, but being the worrywart that I am...I cannot help but wonder...what if it endangers her?

Vanity...vanity...vanity.  But God...I just need something to pick up my spirits.  I look in the mirror and feel like I look horrible!!  So...I made the decision...and I am so excited about looking better.

Any of ya'll feel like crap when you look in the mirror???

everything ive read says that its fine in the second trimester.
i am so glad i didnt go blond before finding out i was preggo like i planned, i know id be dying to dye after an inch or two lol

I have done some personal research on this as well because I need mine done BAD. From what i have read and heard it's okay because you aren't doing it all the time and not exposed to the chemicals long enough to make a difference. I think you should go and enjoy yourself and just do it.

If your doctor gives you the green light then go for it.

And yes, I look in the mirror and think, "my god what happened to me" a lot lately. Today for the first time in a long time I feel like I look pretty again.

hahhahah. i won't say anything. i haven't seen him in years. I moved shortly after my WLS and see another physician for followup since I moved over 300 miles away. he's so good though. I don't think he will be mad.

I've got 2 inches of grow out! I died my hair really light blond and needed to get the roots done when I found out I was pregnant so it looks really bad now. I'm going to get a color weave in a few weeks (2nd trimester) instead of an all over dye because I'm paranoid about it too and with a color weave they don't touch the color to your scalp, so I figure it's even less of a chance of anything seeping through.
