I'm alittle confused.  I went in for my 5 month ultrasound yesterday with my high risk doctor.  He asked are you losing weight still.  I said no I am actually up 12lbs.  He said maintain where you are, and not gain anymore weight.  I dont want you stretching your pouch.  I thought I was supposed to gain weight.  Now I'm alittle nervous.

He said he didnt want you streching your pouch?  That's weird.  Sometimes OB's will tell you not to gain because if you are already over weight (I dont know if you are, I'm just sayin) that you really dont need to gain anymore because the baby does not need the extra calories.

That being said, both my surgeon and OB both want me to gain 15-25lbs and I am still "overweight"

I really doubt you'd stretch your pouch. I think asking you not to gain more weight is ridiculous! I gained 21 lbs and have lost all but 4 lbs. I don't feel that my pouch is stretched out at all

You can't stretch your pouch from gaining weight.  I am pretty sure unless you try dieting that you are going to gain weight.  You are suppose to!  I would talk to you OB about it on your next appt.  doesn't sound  like you are getting good advice from the high risk doctor.  I know I am not the doctor here, but come on.  You can stretch your pouch from over eating...not gaining weight.

good luck and please DON'T feel bad if you gain anymore weight!
