Amaya is home!...PICS
What beautiful babies!!
My son had reflux very bad when he was a baby. He was born at 34 weeks and apparently it is common in preemies. It was very hard. He also saw a gastroenterologist (sp?) and was on medication. For us we never worked out a medication dosage that worked well enough. We basically waited for him to outgrow it. He spit up and vomited a lot. Are you BFing? My son was FF and we ended up having to switch to nutramigen. It has a predigested protein and he was able to keep that down much better than regular formula. When he was that small he slept the best in the carseat because he was elevated and didn't spit up as much.
Well that was totally rambling but if you ever have any questions from a btdt mom I would be happy to try and help. I also have to say Amaya is the girl name I like right now. I absolutely love that name!!!
Good luck!!
going to help me with my kido.
It is very hard and a sad sight to see your child suffering specially when they are that little.
Most people have told me that she will out grow it, I just cant wait.
I put her in her car seat also and the bouncy and she sleeps better, when I was in the Hospital they elevated her crib bed so when I got home I elevated one end with pillows under it and she loves sleeping in her crib now.
Thank you Ellen.
It can take a little while for the reflux meds to kick in, it took about a week to really notice a change when Rowan started on them, so don't give up on them yet!
