Or the lack there of.

Just a 2 second background on DH and I.  We met when I was 15 and he was 17.  We didn't have sex for the first time until we were both 18.  We went through that crazy hormone phase together.  We got married last year and there was no real honeymoon stage.  DH works an hour and 45 minutes away I am a full time student and we are just tired all the time.  And this is before the baby!!

We have been trying to make a conscious effort to have sex at least twice a month.

Well I think that plan was derailed when we went for our ultra sound last week.

When he saw the baby, actually looking like a baby he got completely freaked out and does not want to have sex anymore.  I'm hoping if I give it time he will change his mind.

He says he knows he cannot hurt her, and she will have no clue what is going on, but he said it's weird knowing she's there.

Is this common or is my DH just weird?  I personally have no problems with sex while preggo, because lord knows we probably wont be doing much after she is born!

Thanks
Karen

Hi Karen,
my DH is acting that way right now.  Well, I am on pelvic rest but even before that, he was freaking out cuz I was spotting a bit.  He's afraid of something happening cuz I am just 8 weeks along.  I am hoping after today(first ob appt.) that I get the green light to have sex again.  But he is still worried, so even if I get a go from the doctor who knows if he will want to yet.

good luck with your hubby.  just gentley remind him that he won't hurt the baby and she won't know what he's doing.

I hear that's a common problem with husbands.  My hubby doesn't have that problem, but we both work 60+ hours per week and we're just too doggone tired to get it in.

...and NOTHING tastes as good as this feels!

My dh said the same thing.  About two months later he was over that phase.  So it will probably pass....at least it did with my dh.

Okay call me stupid but I can't get past your first paragraph because the math didn't add up!

How did that happen then? You're 2 years apart in age so how could you be the same age when you both had sex for the first time?! Is his birthday on leap year? Did he have sex for the first time with some one else before he had sex with you? I'm just confused by your statement now.

Any ways, is it normal for men to not want to have sex after they've seent he baby on the ultrasound? Yes it can benormal, but I would have him come with you to your next OB appointment so you both can talk to the doctor together. Maybe the doctor has some advice that would be helpful.

DH has never had a problem with having sex while I was pregnant. Although sex has slowed down after 12/13 years to only once a month but it is great sex when we get around to it, LOL and apparently effective sex too, ROFLMAO.

Have a heart to heart with him and let him know how it makes you feel too, when he "rejects" you by withholding sex from you.

Good luck.

Okay, call me stupid.

But why does it matter when they first had sex? It has nothing to do with the question she was asking. I am sure she just worded it incorrectly. I guess I find it stange that you

Not relevant to the question asked at all.

We waited until I was 18.  So we were both over 18.
