Weigh day
I stayed the same again 222, but I have to say I am pleased, I ate WAY too much this weekend. The weekend seems to be a huge problem for me. I really need to find some way to be consistent all days.
Jen - I know your bummed but maybe you should decrease the carbs for a week and see how that works out. I know you probably want to eat normally and feel the exercize should take care of that but just trick your body. I went to my surgeon for follow up and she gave me a paper with some key points for post op GB patients who are over the honeymoon phase.
* Eat no more than three meals per day, NO nibbling in between. (If you need a snack - protein ONLY)
* Use solid protein as a basis for each meal.
* Don't drink liquids with meals and don't drink at least 1/2 hour after your meal.
* Preload with water (begin 2 hours before meal, drink 0 calorie liquids aggresively)

I already follow most of those rules. I have to eat small meals more frequently or my blood sugar drops and I feel sick. Also I have noticed that if I don't eat before exercise I feel weak. I am going to lower the carbs a bit and up the protein.
I'm starting to think that maybe because Riley is still nursing at night that my body might be wanting to keep more weight.

I have hypoglycemia as well, so I can understand that. WOW I didn't know you were nursing, that may be why your body is holding on to the weight like it is. I by no means have a clue about breast feeding because I never did it but that seems like a reasonable explanation. And I have been told when breastfeeding you require a ton of extra calories. When do you plan to stop? Maybe when you do, they will drop off faster.
Nursing a toddler is nothing like nursing a baby. I started dieting when he was 13 months because at that point I didn't care if I lost my supply. I thought he would self wean about 18 months but he is addicted. I don't know how to stop him. He has a full fledged temper tantrum if I deny him. He turns 2 on New Year's Eve and maybe he will stop. He only nurses 2 times a day, 3 occasionally and I doubt he gets more then 4 oz at a time.
I dropped 3 pounds this past week. Prolly had something to do with the evil PMS and not wanting to eat a damn thing. I have a feeling that will continue since I am sick now. Post nasal drip can really fill a pouch.
I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.

I've stopped weighing myself for a bit because it keeps throwing me into a depression of getting fat all over again. I will go up and down the same 5 lbs. I did weigh myself this morning and it was 168lbs. Up from the 146 a year ago. I don't even expect or want to get back to that weight. I just want to be out of the 160's and can't seem to get motivated enough to do it. I want to go for walks but it's just getting too darn cold and the malls are so crowded, and I'm full of 100000 excuses on why I can't or won't do something. Rinse/Repeat. I also haven't had any energy in the last few weeks. I could just sleep the days away and I feel bad that I'm not spending more 1 on 1 time with Alex. His dad took care of him all day yesterday to give me some alone time. Maybe its PPD? I don't know!
OK So I forgot to get on the scale yesterday morning - oops!!
So this morning I was 185 up 1 pound. SO I am still down 13 pounds since getting pregnant. I am 16 w 4d with baby #1.
Jennifer - one of these weeks you are going to get on the scale and be down like 10 pounds overnight! I believe that muscle also weighs more then fat so maybe you are replacing lots of fat with muscle and that's why you are holding steady. I also believe that muscle burns a whole lot more calories!!

I am curious, I just think your having a girl and I am dead set on keeping these brandy new outfits for your baby, I removed them from the donation pile and hung them back in the closet. Please dont make me wait until May.... LOL
