Weigh day
I don't know what more I can do. My weight every Monday is in the 168 range and by Wednesday is back down to 166. I have not really lost in months. It is like my body needs me to exercise 1.5 hours a day just to maintain my weight. My calories are still about 1400 maybe I should go lower. I'm not sure. This is putting me into a depression. I SWEAR I would be happy in the 150's even though my ultimate goal is 130.
Hope you all have great weigh ins.

Today I am at 194.5 today. That's half a pound up....but I did spend most of the day yesterday in the ER and they gave me a bag of IV fluids. Could that have anything to do with it being up half a pound?

Jennifer, hang in there, I am sure you will get into the 150's. It takes some time. I remember getting to be 164 and was excited, then found out I was pregnant. So it's been awhile since i have seen the scale in the 160's. Hope to be there by next fall!

I'V's have made me gain between 3-5 pounds every time. It takes a few days to drop back down.
I'm just terrified that if I slow down my exercise that all my weight is going to come back on. I know eventually it will start coming off again. The science of weight loss says that if I burn more then I eat I should lose weight. It HAS to come off eventually.

Jennifer, I feel your pain. I have a feeling that my body is just comfortable at the weight I am. I gain and lose the same pounds over and over.
I am going to up my exercise as soon as this semester is over, but am not convinced it will make a huge dent in the last 15 pounds.
I am the same weight this week.

I'm burning over 1000 calories a day in exercise and not losing. I have upped the intesity by adding resistance to the eliptical and setting the treadmill at 4.2 miles per hour or more. I also am walking indoors now at the school and NOTHING. Is it possible that exercise doesn't work????
One of the young girls at the gym is joining the National Guard and they are making her lose 60 pounds. She has dropped quite a bit already using some kind of pill prescribed. I never want to do it but I swear if I start gaining that will be my next option.

Jennifer, I don't understand it. You are an exercise machine! And you've had labs done? Right?
I seriously am at a loss as to why your stall is still around. I truly wish I had an answer for you. I can't imagine your frustration.

My labs are doing much better. I really think my body is always in a state of wanting to gain and fights me every step of the way to lose. My legs are very muscular now but I have so much more fat to lose on my butt and hip area. I used to weigh over 350. The weight came on pretty fast and came off pretty fast with weight loss surgery. Since my pregnancy with Reagan at 8 months post op, I have had to be careful not to gain. When I did gain it was over 50 pounds in just a few years. That is really fast weight gain for a gastric bypass. I do have hypoglycemia and I wonder if that has something to do with it.
That is so odd Jennifer... so you are eating 1400 calories a day and burning 1000 of them??? If I am understand that correctly, your body might needs more fuel? Maybe up your calories? I know that doesn't make sense but maybe it will work? Is there a nutritionist or trainer you can talk to at the gym you go to? Maybe they can give you some answers.
I lost 2.6 lbs this week... Grand total of 15.8 lbs. I am 8.2 lbs away from being at pre-preggo weight! Woot!!! Then onto working on the 11-15lbs I gained before getting pregnant. I can't think of that right now... I just need to worry about the 1st goal I have set for myself.

I tried upping my calories and gained 3 pounds that week. Lowered them back to 1400 and lost 2.5. Exercised less one week and gained 2 pounds, lost 2 of that and started weighing on Wednesday too. Wednesday I am always 2 pounds lighter than Monday. It doesn't make any sense at all. I'm going to try really hard to keep my carbs and protein more even. Normally I eat about 80g of protein and 160g of carbs. This got the first 72 off maybe I need more protein now that I exercise so much more.
Congratulations!!!!! on such a good week.
