sick and c-section????

does anyone have experience being sick (no fever... just cough and sore throat) and having your c-section? will they still do it????
pre-op/current/goal   5'9
287/160/160    Clothes sizes, pre op:24, 2XL  current:6(some 4s) S or M shirts

depends on the dr... personally i would ask them to hold off... i wouldnt want the added pain from coughing nor risk getting my new born sick

I agree with pp. But I think as long as your not running a fever you should be fine.

I got sick the week before my scheduled c-section and had them get me well before.  I was on echinacea and antibiotics.  I was coughing and probably didnt need the antibiotics, but the Dr. said it is better to error on the side of caution in that instance.  So I took 'em.  I did feel better for the section and was glad the cough was subsided, because coughing after a c-section= NO FUN.  Blessings to you!

I had bronchitis when I had Kellen.  They induced me but I ended up having a c-section.  So,they did it, but my recovery sucked.  Crazy coughing with the incision sucked big time!!  Thank God for the percocet!
