Gained 30# and can't stop crying

It's depressing, I know.  I gained 57 lbs with my twins and it's been 4 weeks and I've lost 51.  I can't wait until I get the go-ahead to start exercising again!  My skin is so flabby and still hurts from being stretched out.  And even with just the 6 lbs left, my old clothes are still tight.  I'm bound and determined to get the rest of this weight off!  But, it did only take me less than 2 weeks to get down 51 lbs.  So, it's hopeful for you!

I totally feel your pain!! In the first 5 weeks of pregnancy, I gained 10 lbs.. In total, I gained 50 lbs! I was hungry all the time because my blood sugar was low. I had to eat every 2 hours, including night time!
Its really hard to tell yourself that it's okay to gain weight when you worked so hard to lose.
Today, I have 20 lbs. to lose to get to prepregnancy weight. It's been 11 months since my son's birth.
Think of it in a positive way. Think of how your baby is growing, and how healthy your baby will be because you are eating well. it takes a lot of self motivation and self confidence to look past weight gain. I struggle with it everyday, but I look at my baby and it changes everything!
I would recommend taking a short walk everyday. It could be 10 min. It will help you feel better emotionally and it does help with pregnancy. Make sure that you are eating healthy foods and not junk.
You might want to talk to your doctor about your blood sugar, it might be low like mine.
I wish you the best, I know what you are going through. Have faith in yourself and think about the beautiful baby you will have!!

I just want to say I feel your pain. I was down to 155 when we got our "surprise pregnancy" I am at 31 weeks and at 191 now. With 9 more weeks to go, I DREAD going over 200 again.
I have to admit, I have had an appetite that is amazing. Very much like pre surgery life. I can eat almost anything again. Pasta is still a no no for me, other than that I can eat it all. I PRAY and HOPE that after the birth things will go back to the way the were. I am very much looking forward to the ability to exercise again. I miss that so much!

I'm heavier than I thought I would ever be again.  I do feel encouraged that you  guys lost the excess weight relatively quickly.  I'm glad my tool isn't broken and it won't be like pre-surgery where I diet and exercise like crazy and lose only 5 pounds per month.  I still eat relatively well, except for the carbs.  My ob said to eat a more balanced diet that does not just focus on protein (for the baby's sake of course).  I'm certain it will all be worth it in the end, but just in case, I've been researching some of those walking exercise DVD's b/c I'm sure I can't take a newborn out for a walk in the dead of winter.

...and NOTHING tastes as good as this feels!

*hugs* I know just how you feel. You're feelings are so normal.

With my 2nd pregnancy, which was my first after my surgery, I was right at 2 years post op. I was uber paranoid about weight gain. I weighed every day, sometimes twice a day. I tried to eat healthy & moderately but sometimes the healthy choices didn't 'agree' with me.

I didn't gain anything until I was about 17w but when I did, I cried. I had terrible swelling and water weight, and one time I gained 11 pounds in 7 days, I freaked out. Fortunately with a little rest, I lost most of it but still. Anyway, I ended up gaining 29 pounds that pregnancy and I lost 27 of it by 8 weeks pp. I never did lose those last 2 pounds.

This is  now my 3rd pregnancy (2nd post surgery). I was a little over 3 years post op. I started this pg with those 2 pounds still hanging on. I am now 32w preggo and I have gained 14 pounds. I am just doing my best again to eat as healthy as I can. I am not as nervous/ worried about the weight gain as last time, although I still weigh every few days and try to keep it in check.

Hang in there and try not to work. You can lose the weight.
