Intestional blockage and a premature delivery
So I am still really wiped out from this whole ordeal but I wanted you guys to et a quick rundown on what has happened to me ofer the last several weeks. Shortly after Hallooween I started getting these aweful back spasms which I didnt take a a big deal because i do get frequent back isssues. So it wasn't until the 15th when I couldn't stop vommitting and that I finally went to the ER they admitted me and, after 3 days or so which I don't remember, I was finally discovered to have a strangulated bowel ad had to be rused in for emergencysurgery in the hospital in the city. At that time it was deciddi that Jackhad to come out because it was to dangerous to keep him in there any longer so they did an emergency c-section first. SO Jack was born at 28 weeks on November 20th. Hia dd was Feb 12. He is in the NICU now and he is doing really well these days I am also recovering very slowly though there was ALOT of damage to some of my bowel. Still my baby is very healthy for his age and I can expet a good recovery so good is still good. I just want to remind you all not to ignore signs just because they may not feel urgent or you blame them on pregnancy. God bless everybody and please keep my family in your prayers these days. Thanks!
"Thank God for your trials as much as for your blessings; without the salt of tears you cannot truly appreciate the sweetness of joy."

Through everything, take care of yourself emotionally while he is in the NICU and while you heal.
The NICU is a hard place to be -- I was lucky in that Daniel was only there for a short while, but it's emotionally draining, and *I* did not have major intestinal surgery to heal from. So trust the medical center to take care of him and you take care of you for a bit.

I am so sorry to hear of all of your problems. The best advice I can give to you is some that was given to me by a NICU nurse when my son was born at 31 weeks. She said..."Do not get on the emotional rollercoaster...your baby will take 2 steps forward and 1 step back"...she said do not get hung up on the little bumps in the road...and just stay positive or you will drive yourself crazy. Also, with just recovering yourself from major surgery...try to let the staff take care of him as much as you can. I know it is hard, but holding him at this point is limited...try to get your rest NOW...so that when he is ready to be held, and start feeding...you ARE able to be there with him all the time. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers with quickly healing for you and a quick growing phase for him.
Congratulations on your sweet baby :)
