No I know you post there. :D but a little pimpin' never hurt. I't be nice to get more posters. I resonded to your post too, BTW.

I wish there was a more diverse board dedicated to all levels of motherhood after WLS which is why I started it. I couldn't find a board that incorporated TTC, pregnancy, and parenthood all after WLS. I especially couldn't find a pregnancy board after VSG which is what I need. Just VSG is so new it's difficult to find other pregnant VSGers still. They are sprinkled here and there but not in one place. ;)

1) We've asked for a TTC after WLS board.  There hasn't been one made.

2) VSG isn't malabsorptive, nor does it have many complications -- this is a good thing for you!  But if you have any specific questions you don't feel like you can ask, feel free to PM me.  If I don't know, I'll try and get you an answer.

Oh I've asked before, but my posts were pretty much ignored.

Since talking to my doctor though and his only concern was me having hypermesis, which I don't. Since I don't then they don't have much advice for me either than to try and eat 1500-2000 calories a day. Yeah right!

I guess I'd like to know from other VSGers if my morning sickness/nausea is normal compared to theirs, and how it compares, and how cravings were and if they could eat more or less later in pregnancy when you feel like eating all the time. I also wanted to know how much on average VSGer's gained while pregnant and if they lost while pregnant and how breastfeeding worked out for them after birth and how long before they started losing weight after they gave birth.

Simple, mostly weight related questions/curiosities.

I wasn't around much.  I'm still not much.. but I check in every once in awhile.  I try to avoid some of the drama and since I tend not to sugar coat crap, that doesn't go over well here and thus -- drama.

Ahh, well, your concerns are the same as every WLS patient, honestly.  Except that, lucky you, you don't have hardware that shifts (bands), or malabsorption to deal with.  So you have two pluses in your corner.  Yay you.  But you have permanent restriction so that helps you with the loss postpartum (so a third plus -- a real .. something.  It's past my bedtime.  I can't come up with something witty to say).

I'd guess your MS would compare to everyone else's as MS isn't really controlled by anything that is based on your stomach size -- it's hormone-related.  If it were ghellerin (sp -- too lazy to spell tonight) then it would be different -- but it's not.  Otherwise, the DS moms would be jumping for joy as well since they have basically the same layout as well.  And we've had a few of them as well (Jules, for one).

The weight has varied from all the moms -- and that's been across the board from ALL stripes of WLS.  I've seen some bands lose, and some RNYers (I think I have the record?) gain 60lbs.. I don't think WLS has a bearing either.. some of that is genetics as well.

If you ask a ? and you don't get a response and you want one, just PM me.  I'll try and get you one.  I won't sugar coat it, but I'll respond.  Maybe more coherantly than this.  I'm going to bed.

That's a hard one for me Sara. When I was pregnant with Riley, my hormones were so out of whack. I cried every single day. I wasn't in pain or discomfort but I had some serious personal issues that made me feel close to insane. I don't think I complained about them on the board though. Some of the women might be looking for advice on how to get rid of their problems or just venting, some are just looking for attention and I vote block them if it gets too much. I blocked so many I'm not really sure if they even post here anymore LOL. I love having that drama out of my reading.

I have to laugh at some of the complaints. If that is all you have to worry about ladies then you are lucky!

WOW I came here for some advice since this is a WLS site and the pregnancy forum.  Yes I am complaining and I am so very sorry and my heart truely goes out to all those who are TTC and have been for years.....a lifetime!  But at the same time isn't this what this board is for...General ups and downs of pregnancy?  It is hard finding others that are in my shoes that can give me advice and let me know what they are dealing with....(WLS and being pregnant)  Yes I am very thankful and grateful that I am pregnant, but at the same time I feel I have the right to be down sometimes.......I have dealt with dieting being obese for 25 years, and I felt this was the only place I could come to ask for advice....help....or just some encourgement without feeling guilty about it.   Yes I realize I am also a little depressed so i know that does not help my complaining situtation.  I think that if we can all be supportive of each other it would be best for everyone!

Posts like these are what make me not want to seek help from this site, which is sad because I am sure that was the intention of the site.

I am not trying to fight just stating my opinion about the subject.

Sara,

Dont feel guilty for posting...that is what this site is for.  It is for everyone and everything involved with pregnancy after wls.  I understand what the original poster is feeling, but freedom of speech baby...just like she has the right to feel the way she feels and post about it :)  It's all good.
