Ok so I had my doctor's appt. today and was praying for a miracle.  I was praying that even though I haven't had 1 contraction that maybe just maybe I was dilated to like 4 or something!
No such luck.   I'm still at 2cm.  I'm so bummed.  I actually cried.    I'm frustrated because if she doesn't come out on her own, naturally, I will have to have a c-section because I had one with my first.     I feel like a failure.   It must be the hormones or something.  I"m taking this really hard.
I have a c-section scheduled for the 8th with hopes that maybe in the next few days I start contracting.
Anyone have any home remedies to get this labor moving.   I've done the sex thing and I"m sorta over it. :)
Thanks for listening to my whine.   I should go sit in my son's whiny chair now!

aww so sorry that you aren't progressing on your own - YET!!

No advice, but I am sure that these ladies will have some great stuff for you! Thoughts and prayers headed out and up that she decides to make her entrance this week!

Go get a pedicure and ask them to give you an extra long foot and leg massage.

Eat some spicy Thai food or some beets (I heard somewhere that beets induce labor, probably an old wives tale).

Go for a car ride on a bumpy road.

The pedicure is what did it for me with the twins.

I cried at my 37 (I think) week appointment and pretty much begged the doctor to take him out. I was so miserable from pretty much day one. It sucks so much but it's worth it(which I am sure you know and have been told a million times)! Hang in there! it's almost there!

PS... whine away

Oh honey...try not to cry.  I understand your disappointment and even the feeling like a failure, but really...there is simply nothing you can do, and this is NOT in any way, shape, or form your fault.  It is simply the way your body has decided to have babies and there is not a thing wrong with that.  You are healthy and your baby is healthy and that is what we all want :)  Hang in there...the last week is SUCH a biatch....I oh so remember...but it will be over before you know it once it starts.  Take care...try to relax...and no more tears...that is not good for you or baby.

Hugs and prayers to you!!

Take a very nice long walk. I have been told that does the trick.

I have a question.  Since my first daughter was a premie, I didnt even get close to the stage to think about vaginal or c section.

My question is, why is it so upseting to have to have a c section.  I hear that a lot on here and on the shows on discovery.  Not downing either way you feel I just am wondering if I am missing out on some important information that ultimately I should be worried about as I get closer to my due date.  Not that I need more to worry about, but I dont want to think oh no biggie and then realize something I should have already known.

Thanks.

I have lost 112lbs since my surgery in November of 2007.  Ready for a baby now.

its major surgery...harder recovery.... baby doesnt get that final squeeze to get the fluid out of thier lungs... its not natural...there are many cons to them...however if they are needed to save a life then they are great

I just would like to delivery vaginally.    I never experienced labor with my first because it was an emerceny c-section.   I feel like I missed out on a lot.
I don't like not being with my child for over an hour while I"m in recovery.   I don't like the recovery time of a c-section.
Overall I just want to experience labor.

Awww I hope the baby gets here soon so you feel better!! I did get a pedicure the day I was in labor. Also did lots of walking the few days before. Had a pregnancy massage a week before which they used some pressure points. I hope it goes quick for you!!
