feeling very ill

 hi ladies i was feeling very sick today at work.. felt like i was going to faint and stomach pains. My OBGYN told me to go home and get some bed rest and to drink fluids because I had been throwing up too. So I came home and slept for about 3 hours. When I woke up now I feel worse. I can hardly walk to the bathroom without blacking out and feeling light headed, and i have diarrhea. What could this be? should i go to the emergency room??

have you eaten or drank anything?? Could be dehydration... And Are you pregnant? I'd say when in doubt call the OB on call and see what they say, if you can't get them go to the ER

 yes I am 9 weeks. I called OB and he hasn't returned my call.

OK - I'd definately wait to hear from him, who knows, maybe he is delivering a baby! If he doesn't get back to you in a hour or so make the call. I would probably go to the ER if he didn't call back - better safe then sorry! Just make sure to have someone take you.

Sounds like the flu to me. Have you been vaccinated against either or both the seasonal or H1N1?

I would still check with your OB/GYN, but definitely sounds fluish!

If you are that ill, blacking out and such, you need to be seen, either in the office, or at the ER.

thank you to everyone that helped me out!! I just got home from the ER and I was dehydrated and got an IV. they gave me an ultrasound and I saw Cookie. It was moving it's little hands and feet and even waived! And I also got to hear the heartbeat for the first time!! It was the most beautiful thing ever. I still feel sick weak & tired but happy knowing baby is A OK!!!!! I'm sooooooooooooo happy. Thanks to everyone!

 P.S. my OB never called back. 
I think I'll be switching...

Glad you were seen and are feeling better!

I'd be looking for a new OB as well...
