Chest pain, rash, varicose veins and more ?'s for ya...

I have a few ?'s, that I do plan on discussing with my dr in the am. Im the meantime thought i'd ask you girls if any of you have any advice for me.

Ive been having this pain in the left side of my chest, under my breast for the last 3 days. It is not consistant. It comes suddenly, will las maybe 1-5 seconds and is gone. It is a very sharp, stabbing pain. Its pretty scary, there is no other symptoms that happen with it... I get pretty nervouse when it happens, stop whatever i'm doing and try to feel it out, slow my breathing down and see if im having any other pains or anything with it, and there isnt, other than my anxiety. The first time it happend I got scared I was having a heart attack, but I have no other symptoms.

The other thing I have noticed is i've been getting this weird rash on the left side, under my collor bone. This is the 3rd month i've gotten it. Its really bothersome. The first month the doc said it was eczema, the 2nd month a different doc said it was inflammation. Both prescribed me some cream and sent me on my way. It typacally goes away after 2 weeks. I have not changed anything externally. Im starting to wonder if it could be related to my vitamin intake? To much of something? Anyone else have anything like this before?

Ugggh. Varicose veins. Had a few in my left leg, and all of a sudden a few more just popped up like over night. My leg is soooo ugly. What do you do for them? They dont hurt anything other than my self confidance...

Still kinda crampy today. But no spotting so thats good. I think I am retaining some fluid though, because today I actually had to take my jeans off and put some sweats on because the band just was too snug. I havent gained anything, so I know its just bloating.

Anywhoo, any advice would be so much appreciated ladies! Thanks in advance! :)

I get those same symptoms when I am having an anxiety attack - could it be that?

I have super sensitive skin so I get lots of wierd things like that. Could it be hives? Again something that can be caused my anxiety?

Can't help you there - I am fortunate enough to still only have the 1 same varicose vein I"ve always had in my leg and it's tiny.

I was kind of crampy and SO bloated about 5-6 weeks out. My (imitation from Target) bella band was a great friend until about week 9 when I gave in to maternity clothes!

GOod luck with the Dr in the morning and keep us posted!

Can you have anxiety symptoms when your not doing anything? Like today I was just driving and BAM, sharp stabbing pain, then it was gone.

The rash is def not hives, it is in the same place each time it flares up.

Can you have these veins removed lol?

I seriously never even thought about the possibility of needing maternity clothes... Especially if it ends up being twins! I seriously didnt have to get them with my last three pregnancys, because the clothes where ALLREADY huge, and everything I owned was strechy anyways lol. Omg, I can get cute maternity clothes in a few weeks. Awe! Lol. 6 weeks is a bit soon I think to contribute the bloating to the baby, but I guess if you had to at 9 weeks, I guess some people do, and then I guess it it IS twins, id start those changes sooner huh? Nuts! :)

Thanks for the good luck! And bringing a smile to my face! :)

I sometimes get that kind of pain and my doctor told me it might be muscular. It still scares the crap out of me, but it's rare(er) now and I find that when it happens if I stop and breathe and move slowly it's gone.

Don't have any advice about the rash, but hormones can do crazy things to your skin. My face is a strong case of this since I gave bith 10 weeks ago and my hormones are all screewey... you are newly preggers my bet is that it's those amazingly crappy hormones

As for the veins there are things that can be done for them after you've delivered, but just and FYI mine got horrible durring pregnancy... and they aren't so bad now (I was afraid they'd always be that bad)... my advice: re-evaluate later ... they are a bummer on the ego though I SO feel you there.

Good luck,
Victoria

Not sure about that being the only anxiety symptom but it is a possibility.

Oh yea - bloated because of the baby at 6 weeks - it's all hormones! By the time I was getting ready to leave work and get in the car I would have to un-button and u-zip my pants to be comfortable! I am carrying a singleton and if this isn't your first pregnancy I've heard that things can happen sooner!

The veins can be surgically removed but I don't think during pregnancy.

I can show you some pics of how bad veins can get and they still aren't a concern for docs unless you have lumps in them.

mine are HORRRRRRIBLE.  I have them everywhere on my legs and even in the nether regions...its bad bad.

support hose.  get a pair.  wear them. try your damndest to not get more.  My knee is BLACK right now from the one on my right leg freaking out yesterday. I could barely walk.

Hey, just wanted to answer your questions about varicose veins.  I have been going through a vein and laser clinic getting mine taken care of.  I had this large vein that has been all swollen and nasty for probably a good 12 years.  My left leg was fatter than my right which sometimes made it interesting to find pants, especially capris.  It never hurt me or anything, but the vein clinic was able to get my insurance to cover the procedures.  I have had 6, so far.  Found out today that I have one more vein that is still open so I will have to have another procedure.  I don't think most places do it like this place but thats okay.  It hurts less having multiple small procedures.  There have been days that my leg is so sore I don't want to walk.  Other times it doesn't hurt at all.  I have to wear a compression stalking for a month after surgery.  It isn't pretty but it holds my jiggly legs in place LOL  So, after you are done having babies definitely talk to a vein clinic about getting insurance approval to have them taken care of.  So far it has only cost me $60 in copays and $110 for the compression stalkings.  Well worth it for me.

Wow guys thank you so much for all the answers! Im glad to know that eventually I can have the varicose veins removed, and im so glad to know that everything Im going through, most of you have too. LOL.Sorry, but it really DOES ease my mind. I figure if you all survived it, so can I! ;p

Its crazy how its so easy to forget all the crap that comes with pregnancy lol. Because as soon as you hold that baby, everything is just so minute compared with the miracle of your little one!

Thanks again for helping me guys! :)
