Yay for Pregnancy Metabolism!
So far my "morning sickness" hasn't been too bad. It started Thanksgiving morning, but didn't last all day thankfully so I was able to eat T-day dinner. Friday, though, was a different story and it has continued ever since.
I wake up and start my day off with a protein shake and I am miserable the whole time I am sucking it down. It now takes me over an hour to get the 11oz down too.
But just about everything I eat just makes me feel sick. Again, thankfully it does not make me throw-up but it does make me nauseous and gives me a headache. Proteins are the worst though. Tuna, chicken, and even turkey right now absolutely do not like me. Just one bite takes forever before I feel better because it takes so long to digest.
Everyone kept saying how I'll lose some weight while pregnant and I was doubting it for the last couple of weeks because I gained a couple pounds, didn't feel sick, and was eating some junk I probably shouldn't have (baby made me *wink*). Of course now my pregnancy metabolism has kicked in as well as morning sickness and the scales are dropping again.
I'm not trying to get too excited, even though I am getting closer and closer to seeing that 199 on the scale, I know I will probably go back up sooner or later once this m/s goes away.
Still I am now only 9ish lbs away from seeing 199 on the scale and I am dropping 2-3 lbs a week again. I was surprised to see my scale go DOWN after T-day too! LOL I have never lost weight after T-day like that before! ROFLOL I've even been carbing it with the mashed potatoes lately, because they are easier to get down, and I am still seeing a loss.
I would so love to get below 200 before my second trimester, even if it's for just a couple days. That would be so cool to me! I might even be able to fit into and use some of my sister's maternity pants and I wouldn't have to buy some new pants! All of my old maternity pants don't fit me. They are all too BIG! This will be our last baby and I can't justify buying too many new maternity clothes. I have enough oversized shirts, but I'll probably need 1-2 pairs of pants later on.
I am SOOOOOO tired lately too.
I am grateful to have some of the signs of pregnancy this time. I am hoping it means everything is going well, and that baby is growing and doing well too.
