Feeding solids?

If he isn't interested then he isn't interested. I wouldn't force him to eat stuff he doesn't want.

I jus****ched my kids. If they grabbed for our food then they were interested and wanted some. I usually fed them off my plate too.

If you are nursing then I also wouldn't worry too much as he is getting everything he really needs from you and isn't nutrient deprived at all. Some kids just don't like textures and perhaps your son doesn't like them right now. I don't know too many adults that aren't eating solids ;) so I wouldn't worry too much.

It is possible it's teething pain too. It will pass eventually.

Is he on formula?  If so, how much?

DD's pediatrician let her eat Cheerios at 6 mos (by herself).  Would take her forever to eat like 5 of them.  That seemed to get her interested in food because it was something she could do herself.

I don't have any real advice.....

But Cooper (a little more than 5 months) really was disinterested in cereal.  Could have cared less.  I thought he wasn't ready so waited for a while and then tired green beans.  He loved them!

Today we tried peas for the first time -- he ate almost 1.5 oz of them (a lot for him!)  (Half the jar)

He kept opening his mouth like a little fishie.

So Maybe Everett doesn't like the taste of his food?  Like Cooper doesn't like cereal....

Still and all...I've read a baby can eat only milk/formula for a year and be fine.  Don't sweat it !  Keep trying.

Jantzen loves jarred food, so no advice there. The little turd sees a jar and flips out. He's a huge eater.

The puffs, I just started this past weekend. And Everett & Jantzen are within a few weeks of each other. He gets frustrated sometimes with trying to pick them up AND get them in his mouth. but he concentrates hard!

He likes them and he gums them and they dissolve. His 2 bottom teeth just poked through last Thursday, so I am hoping he will try to chew more.

I used a mini processor with Riley. She hated baby food so I would puree regular foods for her. Think post-op diet ........kinda.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
