I need answers!
Ok so, I came home from work yesterday feeling like a hot mess. I hurt all over, ( like muscle cramps) I had a very low grade fever if any at all, and I just feel like crap.
Is this due to pregnancy?
Is it due to possible flu?
Am I not getting enough protein?
Am I not getting enough fluids??
When I try to eat, I fell turned off by the food after eating about 2-3 ozs. I know my tummy is small, but I can normally eat around 5 ozs.
What is wrong with me? Is this just food aversions? I know I really need to monitor my intake but its so hard when I work and go to school and keep house... I mean, how do all of you do it?!?!
My dr isnt to up to date on people with RNY so her answers are for general pregnancy. (She told me the other day to take motrin! I had to correct her and let her know I cant take NSAIDS) Ugh!
Please list anything you know I would much appreciate it.

Kinda sounds like the flu to me. Take some tylenol and push the fluids and see how you feel. Don't worry so much about eating when you feel this way as long as you get your fluids in. Hope you feel better soon.

It is more than likely pregnancy induced. All symptoms.
If by "low grade" fever you mean your temp was around 99º, that is actually a NORMAL temp for a pregnant woman to have and is NOT a fever. Pregnant women run 5% warmer than normal people. My temp is always around 99º when I am pregnant.
The flu would hit you like a mack truck and you would not be able to function at all. So no it is NOT the flu.
You are probably low on your B vitamins and increasing those may give you an increase in energy, but don't count on it.
You can't eat much because you have "morning sickness". I'm going through that right now too. Just a couple of bites of anything makes my stomach churn something fierce. I haven't thrown up yet but it makes me not want to eat. Again it's part of pregnancy and expect it to last into your 2nd trimester.
You are over tired because these first few weeks of pregnancy are the most draining. The baby is a parasite and is sucking all of your energy and most of your nutrients. There are days I will take 2-3 naps and still be tired. In my earlier pregnancy days I'd sleep as much as a cat and cats can sleep for 20 hours a day!
Also, you will notice an increase in nasal mucous as well because of the increased blood flow it also increases your mucous production, especially in your nose. Your nose will also bleed more easily too because of the increased blood volume and stress put on the capillaries.
Honestly, I don't know why someone would say you have the flu or say you are sick, since you are only 6 wks pregnant like me, everything you are experiencing is NORMAL pregnancy symptoms.
Drink more often if you can. Increase your B vitamins, especially B-12. Nap as often as possible too. Eat whatever you can at this point, that doesn't make you too sick. I stick with my protein shakes because it's easier to get down and doesn't make me as sick as food. But I still eat regular foods too. I am, however, starting to lose weight again because my eating has slowed down.
