Well, the good thing is my numbers did double. I had my levels on saturday and they were 150, and took them again Monday, and they were 468. She said they doubled, but not quite as much as they like to see this early on. She wants me to rest as much as possible, put my feet up alot, no intercourse and complete pelvic rest. I had no clue what that was, and she explained no lifting anything that weighs more than a milk carton etc. Im rh-, so she wants me to get to 10 weeks so I can have my rogahm shot. She seems hopeful, didnt think I need to come in yet (I still have yet to actually MEET with my ob, this has all been over the telly). I feel kinda nervouse and crappy about all this. Im praying for a healthy outcome.. and its going to be really hard to rest so much but it will be so worth it if everything is ok. Has anyone else had issues this early on and had a healthy pregnancy?

Bed rest sucks especially this early on. Good luck with everything!

That's great that the numbers doubled !  Remember HCG varies so much from person to person that it's hard to say what is "normal" besides the fact that it should at least double, etc.

I'm sure the pelvic rest is just precautionary because of your cramping.

I am RH- too - but they didn't give me rogahm until I was 20 weeks...but they said if I had an injury to my pelvis, etc to go to the ER to get a shot.

What are her next steps?  Do you get to meet her?  When will she do an ultrasound?  When will you get released from pelvic rest ?  (I wouldn't be able to stand that!)

Good Luck !

I have no clue what the next steps are. So far this has all been over the phone. My first appointment is Dec 21. That is only with the nurse though. Im sure that will be paperwork, financial stuff etc. Then my first OB appointment will be on Jan 8th. He will do a sono at that point. I should be around 11 weeks I think at that point, so the sono should be neat to see. She didnt say anything about when I could let up on my 'pelvic rest' etc. So I guess I will be this way untill Jan! :(

I'm not sure about the HcG because I have never had it followed repeatedly. I did have bleeding early in both my previous and this pregnancy- I was put on pelvic rest both times. However, my doctor did stipulate that I only had to wait until the bleeding had stopped for one week and then we could resume sex if we wanted. This time around I'm still waiting on that- I'll have a few blood free days and it will start again. (sigh) good luck though!

I also have been on complete pelvic rest since I found out I was pregnant. I was 3 weeks to the day when I found out. I will be 30 weeks tomorrow. So for the past 27 weeks!

I have been on bed rest since Oct 16th and will be until I deliver. It sucks, but it can be done! The way I see it... no sex or being able to do anything is worth it to have a happy healthy little girl! :-)

WOW! You poor thing! I hope to not be on it as long as you, but you are right about it being worth it in the end! Any tips to keeping your sanity that long? Lol.

Hobbies! Cross stitch, plastic canvas, crocheting, reading, alll the many dramas that are on TV!!! LOL

Most days I am content... some days I want to cry because I feel like the world is going on without me. But I deal... Usually a nap cures that!
