Okay so this was my second NST appt and again I had to stay on the monitor for over an hour b/c she was so active she kept going off the monitors. Has anyone else had this happen?

I wish.

Kaitlin was so slow that we had to stay on the monitors just to get our minimums.

I had an NST every week the last 7 weeks.  And once or twice Cooper WOULD NOT behave !

He kept coming off the monitor they tried pinning him down by pushing *really* hard on my stomach (two nurses) and even that didn't work !

Once they sent me over to L&D to watch him because they couldn't  get a good read on him...

Other times he was a beutifully behaved baby !

It seemed like if I ate a lot of sugar within an hour of going he was way way more active.... I should know to lay off the sugar!

Sounds like your little girl is going to keep you busy!

What does NST stand for?  Everytime that I go for an ultrasound, the techs have problems catching my little active girl, so I may have the same issue with this NST.

Oh my god yes! I honestly dread the NST's because they take me forever! I have to sit there and push hard on the device so it picks up the heart beat. I have to push w/ both hands and flex my arms and shoulders and it really starts to get uncomfortable. I also have to jimmy rig that kick button somewhere in there too. If I lay on my back I get light headed so I have to lay on my side and it's just all around uncomfortable! I will not miss those NSTs! I wish I could just lay back and relax to my baby's heartbeat but NOPE! lol!

Yep.  They have to have a record of the elevated heart rate when they move and it returning to normal within a certain amount of time.  They need a certain number of them.  It would routinely take more than an hour for my last child, he was either asleep or all over the place LOL.

Even now with just normal ultrasounds I have two babies who take about 15-20 minutes a piece and one that can take an hour because he is super active and constantly taking off.
