Is this "normal"?
You can also start taking Calcium Magnesium supplements. This helps lessen the cramps you may be feeling. This is also helpful for those who have BH contractions and even pre-term labor. It's safe for baby,
The uterus is a muscle and we all know that if we don't get enough calcium we end up getting muscle cramps called charlie horses in our legs. Well similarly if we don't have enough calcium then our uteri can spasm/cramp more often if we don't have enough.
Many suggest eating more banana's as well as the calcium magnesium. The Cal Mag can be found in the vitamin section of any store.
I also wouldn't skip out g-ma. But then my one set of grandparents on close to the exit doors of life so I want to go visit them soon, but don't have the opportunity to. :(

Mom to 8 ~ Adelyn Grace arrived July 8, 2010!
Thanks for the tips! I'll get bananas and the supplements when I shop!
I see my grandparents often - that is the only reason I even considered not going - I will be up there in another few weeks too (usually about every 6-8 weeks I make the trip) but usually for a weekend - this time it is just for the day.
Thanks again!

I'm with you on skipping the trip. I didn't fly to Arizona for Army training back in July because I just didn't feel comfortable with the idea. Got my doc to write me a note saying she advised against flying the 5 hours to the hugely different altitude out there, with me being a high risk pregnancy.
If you are only going for a day trip and will be going again in a few weeks, I would say postpone. Especially being right after the holiday, you are bound to be tired, etc.
