Everett's 6 month Checkup & Me Update (pic heavy)
Everett did great @ his 6 month checkup, and endured 5 shots .
He is 17 lbs and 27" tall. Growing at a nice average pace and meeting/exceeding all the milestones. I can't seem to find the words to describe him, but he is the most easy-going baby. He'll snuggle without a fuss, yet plays happily by himself just as well. He laughs and shrieks in delight at Ethan and Emma. He wants to crawl in the worst way and loves bouncing/standing in his exersaucer. I'm slowly introducing a few solids, but he's more interested in having the spoon than what's on it.
I remember the day I came to this forum and I was completely freaked out about a surprise PG while on BC and 1 month post op. Ya'll know the story, but I was soooo worried. I look into Everett's eyes as he's snuggled in my arms and I can't imagine what life was like without him. His siblings are excited to see him every morning and make sure to kiss him every night before bed. My heart swells with love and gratitude. If only I could pause time now - my children are growing too quickly LOL
As for me, my hernias are repaired and I'm officially 2 wks post-op. UGH, the pain has been hard to manage. I am on the mend and working diligently to NOT lift anything heavy (except Everett). I'm anxious to get through this and start exercising and working at weight loss again. I have lost 40 lbs since Everett's birth and though I don't specifically have a goal (my own reverse-psychological approach) I would like to lose a bit more and start toning. Any suggestions on easing back into more than just walking?
Thanks for indulging more of my 'gushing' and hugs to all of you!

Jo,
I am glad you are on the mend. I have no suggestions as far as exercise goes, as I pretty much fell off that wagon when I found out I was pregnant - yikes!
Your kids are sweethearts. I love the picture of Everett in the sleeper with dinosaurs on it! I'm happy to hear he is doing well.
Stay healthy and enjoy your great family!

OMG...that picture with Ethan and Everett is perfect. I hope you get that one blown up a bit and framed...and stick one in each of their rooms. And Emma's curls? I love them!
I'd hazard an uneducated guess that Everett will probably be crawling sooner than the older two because he wants to keep up with them.
