I think that this is RLP that I am feeling but I thought that I would put it out there. I am getting these fast, sharp pains that seem to be in the area of my groin / cervix / vaginia. They are mostly when I move - quick - and SHARP! Almost take your breath away. If it continues tomorrow I will call the OB just in case. I did have an extra busy day today with a lot of running and stress. I am home now drinking some water and relaxing with my feet up!

I'll take whatever comes my way - I just like to know what it is! lol Thanks for always answering my crazy first time mommy-to-be questions!

Liz, Dont laugh when I tell you this story, but I HAVE to.  Keep in mind I had 2 kids NO drugs and one c-section before this...So Baby #4 13 weeks I am walking in town with my family and take a step and PAIN like you describe.  Then a couple steps I am ok...then again PAIN!! This got worse and worse and I had to have my hubby go get the car and pick me up.  I was so scared because I had lost the one twin a couple weeks prior.  And with my high pain threshhold I was very nervous.  So the Dr. has me come in and the weird sharp pains are random, but when they come they are crazy strong...come to find out...GAS!! WHO KNEW??? I had NO IDEA gas pain could be SOOO Painful!! LOL it lasted 2 days!! Hope you feel better.  Oh, in my experience, RLP is more like a dull achiness sort of.  I know could I be more vague?  Sorry, it is hard to describe it exactly, but it was not sharp.  The GAS was.  Best of wishes.  :)

I have had similar pains and chaulked them up to RLP...they usually subsided on their own.

I experienced those pains to when I was at your stage.  I think that it is a combo of RLP and gas.  I definitely get some killer gas pains!

take care...

If you notice that it hurts when you lift your feet off the ground, it could be that the baby is sitting on the symphisis(sp) bone.  I had that problem with my pregnancy.  It required shuffling my feet instead of lifting them.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago.  I work half days on Fridays and was out doing my normal running around and shopping.  I had major gas pains which has become normal but then I started having really sharp pain in my left lower abdomen.  When I got home I dumped all my bags and camped out on the couch for the rest of the day and it only felt better when I was off my feet.  I was sore to some extent for the rest of the weekend, though.

I talked to my doctor about it the following Tuesday because I was worried that it could be a cyst.  She said it was RLP and it's not unusual when you're walking a lot and that it can be sore for a few days.  I thought it was something else because the RLP I've had previously was quick and sharp and went away....never stayed sore.

So, my guess is gas and RLP.
