I had cyst on both my ovaries. I have had them for a while. In fact, I had so many I was told I would not be able to get pregnant and three months later I was. When I had my first U/S at 6 weeks they were still present but at my last one, most of them were gone or had shrunk. In less they are huge I mean bigger than walnut nut size they usually do not do anything about them. On my right ovary I had two walnut sized ones and the doctor just monitored them. I would try not to worry. I was told it is very common to have cysts.

Ovarian cysts during childbearing years, and especially pregnancy, are quite common.

Functional cysts (sometimes called feeders) usually disappear between 8 - 12 weeks. Mine did, despite having PCOS.

Your Dr will monitor for decrease in size. Sometimes they are present the entire pregnancy.

Definitely ask your Dr again at Monday's appointment. I'm sure he will have a better understanding than mine.

Hugs,

I had a sono on tuesday and I had a cyst on my ovary, the tech said that the ovary was probably the one that released the egg and it will go away on its own

I've had them on and off for years. They go away on their own but the Dr will monitor them just to make sure :)
