How can you be 7 months pregnant and not know?
I teach high school choir and one of my students found out just 2 weeks ago that she's pregnant. She due Jan 9! How could you not know you were pregnant is what we all asked her. She said she was on birth control pills and had a period each month, so she thought she was fine. She thought she was just gaining a little weight. Then a couple weeks ago she went into the doctor cause she had the swine flu and they told her she was pregnant. She showed us her belly and she looks to be only 4 or 5 months. It's just seems amazing to me. They really need some better sex ed in my school.
I just dont understand it. How can someone not know for 7 months....I knew from like 2 weeks after. There are just too many signs and symptoms...even if it takes you till 4.5 months you eventually feel the baby kick (unless she is very heavy set but still).
With stories like these (not my first time hearing one like this), I can't help to think that they knew and just did not want to admitt it or want anyone to know. I know someone who pulled a trick like that...didn't want anyone to know because her parents were trying to force her to give it up for adoption. Thankfully an incident happened and she was discovered as being pregnant by our school nurse so her parents switched gears and allowed her to keep it. But it just makes me think they know and theres a reason they were hiding it. And if they really just dont know, I fear for the stories about girls panicking and discarding their precious gifts in garbages and stuff like that. Just Crazy is what I call it.

I'm watching "I didn't know I was pregnant" right now. I don't get it.
I think kids high school age really know but they do not want to admit it. Maybe part of it is denial. I am almost 18 weeks pregnant, and even these small movements I'm feeling anyone would question. It feels like a bouncy ball is bouncing off my insides. It's a completely bizarre feeling.

Wow that's so scary!! I cannot imagine how freaked out she is. Try to be supportive, because I'm sure she doesn't have many support outlets.
These types of things do happen. Not often but it's not that rare. If I was on the pill and had a period every month, I'd think the same thing she did. Even kicks can be disregarded as gas until you start seeing little bulges sticking out like an alien lol.
Poor girl. At least she got to miss the not-so-fun parts... morning sickness, the anticipation of not knowing the gender, worrying through the first tri, etc.
