HAPPY VIABILITY DAY TO ME!!!
I made it! I am 24 weeks today. As of midnight last night my babies officially moved off of the DNR list. They will now use mag sulfate or other meds to prevent early delivery and use steroids to mature the lungs if my cervix starts changing. They are doing a daily ultrasound to check heart rate and movement because manipulation of my uterus causes contractions and so they do not want to mess around with traditional heart monitors because trying to find all three babies is tedious and time consuming and would most likely cause contractions. Today Baby A was asleep so not much movement but my little girl was kicking the crap out of Baby C, the technicians were laughing. She was giving straight legged kicks to the other boy's head. It was awesome to watch.
My doctor came in this morning to discuss the changes to my orders because we have reached the goal. He said he is hoping to make 30 weeks, that is what he will fight to reach. If we make it past that wonderful but he will fight tooth and toenail to make 30 weeks. So I am happy to know the goals of the doc.
Hope all is going well for everyone else!

Hang in there!! I had triplets on 8/18/09 I made it to 33 weeks and let me tell you it is NO EASY task! I basically had an uneventful pregnancy I worked full time up until about 23-24 weeks. I am an Xray tech and worked in the OR standing all day with 15lb lead apron on! UGHH!!! I swear that is what got me thru! Anywho...my doctor put me out and said to take it easy....light bedrest. Basically whenever I was home I was to be laying down. He also set me up with an at home monitor that I would have to do at least twice a day for an hour that would monitor if I had any contractions. Then I could plug the monitor into this machine that would send the data to a nurse and they would call me and tell me how many contractions I had. My doctor was not an alarmist and always put me at ease. He would email me all my labs and call with any concerns that he had. BUt at about 28weeks I had some contractions in his office and sent me over to L&D they gave me the 2 doses of steriods just in case and then mag sulfate which was terrible. After 24 hour observation he sent me home with meds to control the contractions. At 32 weeks I started with mild pre-elcampsia. I was admitted to the hospital on a Friday night at 11pm had a bunch of tests done and babies where delivered tuesday morning because my platelets where dropping. Babies where great!!!! They weighed 3lb15 oz 4 lbs and 4lb 5oz. In the NICU for feeding and temperature control for 21, 23, 24 days.
So I guess the point of this post is to tell you that you can and WILL get thru this!!! Its is not easy but fight....and fight hard!!! What is another 6 weeks of misery for a lifetime of happiness. I wish you nothing but the best for you and your babies. Please know that I am here is you have any questions or just need to vent! Hang in there!!!
