Prayers Please- Kimmer Update!
Some of you know her and some of you don't, but my friend Kimmer is having some pretty bad issues right now and requested some prayers. She's 35w pregnant with her son and for the past 3 weeks or so has been having terrible issues with kidney stones, blocked kidney, and kidney infection. She can't keep anything down, has been dehydrated and is in the hospital for the third time in as many weeks. She's scared and worried, and tired of being in pain. She's one tough cookie.... she described labor with Paige (now almost 4) as UNCOMFORTABLE, so you know its bad when she says it hurts! She's gone through a LOT to bring this baby into the world and any prayers you can send up to help her get through the next few weeks with a decent amount of comfort would be deeply appreciated. She had surgery where they removed a .8mm stone last week, and they put in a catheter. She took it out yesterday (as directed), but within an hour couldn't even stand up from the pain. She thinks she passed at least one more since then (she'd passed a few before the surgery too). Hopefully she'll be out of the hospital in 2 days, from what I could gather. Anyway, thanks for looking and good thoughts!

Oh man, have I been there! Mine started in and out of the hospital at 16 weeks pregnant the last time, with surgery after surgery to put stent in and stent out.
What a bummer! I will truely be thinking about her and wishing her some comfort, I remember being there all too well! My Dr. actually had me deliver my baby early, as soon as they determined it was safe, @ 36 1/2 weeks along, and the very next day while still on the maternity floor, I had my first lithotripsy (stone blasting surgery)!!! I had to have both kidneys done before I was able to go home with my new little bundle. And the crazy thing is, just three weeks later, an x-ray showed that my kidneys had new stones. It's something I'm having to learn to live with, and I wouldn't wi**** upon ANYONE!
She's on the home stretch, just a little further more to go!!! Are they planning on blasting her stones after delivery? I sure hope she gets some relief soon!!!
