DR appointment
I had my "first" actual OB appointment scheduled for today even though I went in earlier before cause of some spotting. She did another ultrasound cause I had more spotting on Saturday and everything looks really good. The baby's heartrate was 176 and was measuring right on for the date of my LMP. She said she thinks I have a sensitive cervix and that's why I have seen some spotting. She noticed when she did the pap that my cervix bled a little when she swabbed it. She said it shouldn't be anything to worry about and that everything looked great. They found blood in my urine, not sure what that means but she said they'll be testing it and will let me know. Tomorrow I am going in for an early glucose test because my BMI is still not under 40 they want to make sure I don't have gestational diabetes early on. Since I had the lap band, I can do this test, not that I really want to, but I will. Also because I had pregnancy induced hypertension or the starting of pre-eclampsia with my daughter, they're making me do a 24 hour urine collection now too. So I hope all of that comes out good. I was 325 when I got pregnant with my daughter and now I'm 264 so I'm hoping that will make a difference with this pregnancy.
thats great your appointment went well today...i bet you feel relieved! we both had lapband in feb this year...funny...i too also had bleeding early on...i wouldnt spot...i gushed a ton of blood on a few occasions in the first trimester...it was my cervix as well. i am sure you will be fine...best of luck!

So glad everything went well! And by-the-way, I always have blood in my urine when it's tested. I can't see it, but it's always there non-the-less. It either means you might have an infection (UTI) or in my case, underlying kidney stones that occasionally cause me some trouble. Either way, they'll let you know if it's something you can clear up with medicine or if it will just run it's course. Ohhhhh, and my predictions on gender, GIRL! Just from the high heartbeat, it's an old wive's tale, but I think it's fun!
