faint plus sign on test
Hello all. I am a total lurker here on the pregnancy forum, because im 14 months out and not trying with my hubby yet. We were planning to start trying at the 2 year mark. I have 2 boys from a previous marriage who are 8 and 10... oh sorry i got off subject a bit! Anyways im still 2 days before my period is due, but i typically spot for several days prior to getting a full flow. So I still hadnt started, and at the store today I said wth and got one of those cheap 3 dollar tests at target. Even though it says to wait for first morning urine I took it tonight anyways... and there is one bright blue parallel line, and then this faint light blue vertical one, basically a plus. It says it dosent matter if one is brighter than the other... but, well... I was just wondering if anyone experienced this, and what the outcomes were etc. Im planning on waiting till the day of my expected period to come and then get an expensive test using morning urine... will let you know! But in the meantime, PLEASE give me some advice ladies!
Thanks!
Jen

OMG! Its been 8 years since i've had a baby! Lol. I actually dont think I can wait untill thursday lol. I'll pick one up tommorrow and call my doc to schedule a blood test to be 100 pecent. Ive been all over the internet for the last few minutes, and if I am, that puts me at a due date of July 28th.. Both of my boys are July's too! How neat. I will let you all know for sure, and hope that you guys will welcome me as member to the board, instead of a lurker! :)
Thanks for all your answers btw!

I had the exact same results with my first HPT with my 18 month old son. We tested right when my period was due and the horizontal line was bright and the vertical line was barely readable. I had to have my hubby look and tell me what he saw. We took a test a week later and had a definite positive then.
Please get a pink dye test (FRERs are the best) or digital. I hate to be Debbie Downer but blue dye tests are notorious for false positives and I hate to see anyone get their hopes up and not be pregnant, it's a devastating feeling. Fingers crossed that it's legit for you though!
