Question for the mc club

 Hey ladies,
I just took my dose of misoprostol (cytotec) to help my miscarriage start. Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as pain and bleeding. My last one was a natural and was hoping this was gonna take care of itself but it has been over a week and no bleeding as of yet. I will go to the Dr on fri to do an ultrasound and make sure there is no remaining tissue. Any info would help.

I'm sorry that I don't have any info for you. I had two early losses and didn't have to use the medicine.  I just wanted to say that I'm sorry you have to go through this. 

 Thanks I guess I will find out soon enough. I took it a couple of hours ago and I am getting some pretty bad cramping now. Its tolerable... for now 

I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage.  When I had mine, the doctor offered me the medicine or a d&c.  I chose the d&c.  I needed to have closure.  I ended up losing the baby before the d&c.  With mine, I was bleeding and clotting along with some cramps.  The cramps would come and go, just like contractions because essentially that is what you are doing.  Did the doctor give you any pain meds?  The cramps got pretty back for me.  I ended up going to the hospital because I was actively miscarrying and I wanted to be checked.  I thought I may not need the d&c.  They ended up giving me morphine.  For a little while, I was still able to feel the "cramps".  Eventually, I couldn't feel them.   I couldn't tell you exactly when I passed the baby with all the bleeding.  I know I was in bed because I found it (TMI). 
I hope everything goes smoothly for you and once again, I am so sorry you have to go through this.

I have no info re the meds since all my mc's took care of themselves.  I'm sorry you are having to go through this added part of the miscarriage.  It's never easy....but this just seems to me almost like insult to injury, if you know what I mean?  I saw someone was going to pm you privately, so hopefully they have more information for you.

I took the meds last night had bad cramping and bleeding for a couple hours and now I am spotting very light. I left a messg for my Dr. as I think I may need to repeat the meds. I know when I had my natural mc the bleeding was very heavy for almost a week. I am almost positive I have not passed everything. If this does not work I will have to have a D&C.
