Are you exercising?

I've been a baaaad girl. I got out of the habit of exercising when I had super bad morning sickness and never got back into the habit. I'll go for a 10-15 minute walk every now and then, but nothing like I feel I should be doing.

In the lapband forum, they do a post every day titled "How did you move today?" Would anyone be interested in having something like that here? To keep us motivated to work out? Because as of right now I really need some motivation and group support lol.

I barely have the energy to get through my day and clean my house! lol I know that i should be doing some sort of exercise and as soon as I get that "2nd trimester rejuvenation" I will start again. I have a bunch of restrictions from my OB though so it will be mostly yoga and walking.

That's what I keep telling myself to do... yoga and walk. I want to get a pregnancy yoga video. I used to do yoga pre-prego and I loved it. I really found it to be helpful for more than just getting stretched out.

I found water aerobics to be great exercise while I was pregnant!

I didn't exercise much in the 1st tri, but picked it back up in the 2nd, walking 2 miles and doing light strength training, but nothing like I did pre prego.  I used to run 3-5 miles and do lots of weight training, so the moderate walking didn't feel like much exercise.  Late in the 2nd tri the walking started to cause discomfort, so I had to cut back to a mile which sucks but I know it's better than nothing.  This is my 4th baby and the first one that I have not been obese with, so I know I am doing more that with my other pregnancies.  I am now 30 weeks and the 1st tri stuff ( all day sickness and exhaustion)  are starting to come back.  I just hope that I can continue with some sort of exercise because I have gained 22 pounds and I still have 10 weeks to go!!!! I wonder if I should get a prego yoga video and try it out.  Iv'e never done yoga.   I guess it's worth a try. I need all the help I can get!

Take Care,
Tami

I've been bad too. I was exercising good and regularly and now I totally don't have the energy. I really need to though. At least go for a walk, I just don't have the motivation to move. I was doing the treadmill a few times a week up hill and getting my heartrate up real high and then also doing water aerobics. Now, it's pretty sad, I'm doing nothing.
