1) Did you have few periods a year before WLS?

I didn't get my period for 6 months before my surgery After I stoped breast feeding my daughter is when they stoped... but I got heaver too... but after surgery I got one a month or so later and then I was getting one every other month... At about 4 months out I found out I was pregnant... I told my hubby there was NO way I was pregnant but he insisted I was so I took a test and then another and yes now I am 12 weeks with twins... We used protection but I still got knocked up. I thought sense my periods were messed up and we were using condoms I wasn't super fertal and I was so wrong. I wanted to wait to have more because i am only 7 months out now and still losing weight like crazy but the babys are well and so am I. I know u said ur gonna wait...definitely wait cuz it's not fun being out so soon and prego... have a good one

2. My periods are more regular now, but still not clockwork (but this is likely due to surgery and an IUD insertion kind of throwing things off for a few months). I am not TTC so I don't monitor CM.
3. I conceived just 1 month postop despite using BC, so WLS by all counts made having a baby 'naturally' possible. However, using 2 forms of BC (or 1 effective non-absorbtive method such as IUD) for the first 12 to 18 mos is HIGHLY recommended. I wasn't informed about this. I preach it to everyone now.
Congratulations on your surgery and I hope you'll stay on this forum during your journey. There are women here at all stages - before, during and after the TTC process).
