That happened to me with my second pregnancy. They baby had stopped developing around 8 weeks and I miscarried at 12.  I miscarried at home, my bleeding stopped within 2 weeks. 6 months I got preggo with my 2nd daughter who I just had in June :)

I am sorry you are going through this. It is so hard, heartbreaking and consuming. Hang there.

Hi thanks very  much for your kind words....something that was in mind is if my lost had something to do with the surgery I had....Congrats on your little angel.

I don't know which procedure you had, and I am by no means a Doctor (that could be scary - LOL!) but it probably didn't have much to do with your surgery. Most of the time a miscarriage is related to hormone issues or chromosome issues. Is your Doc doing testing?

I know the hardest part for me was not knowing why it happened. A large majority women go on to carry a healthy baby to term - I did :)

Hang in there. There are many of us here who have gone through this. If you need to vent we are here.

Talk to your Doc see what he or she says. The hardest part is the emotional healing.

I'm sorry you're going through this.  Your loss was probably no related to your WLS in any way though.  The M/C club is VERY large in every population, and there are more members than you'd ever think.  Take care of yourself and give yourself time to grieve.  Hopefully by the time you're 15 months out or so you'll be ready, and your body will be in a much better place too.  *BIG HUG*

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Roxie. I've had 3 miscarriages, 2 earlier out and 1 @ 12 wks. It is heartbreaking and something you need to allow yourself to feel in order to grieve and heal.

Unfortunately, m/c is quite common. WLS is often indicative of improved fertility, but not detrimental to pregnancy retention (at least not in any of the studies I've read). Statistically, 25% of early pregnancies end in miscarriage, and the majority are lost due to unknown causes. It sucks, but advances are being made daily to help understand and prevent future losses.

You will find a lot of empathy here, so vent as much as you need.

Hugs and healing,

Jo
