Slightly scared, anyone else experience this?
So before I was pregnant, I had several times where I got hot flashes and felt as if I was going to pass out. My gyn thought it was due to hormones, they I got pregnant and the episodes continued and have gotten worse. My ob said due to increased blood flow...even though I reminded her it was happening before pregnancy.
They just sent me for my glucose 1 hour test and my sugar bottomed out at 42 and I wasn't even fasting! Now they say I am hypoglycemic and probabaly due to my rny. I have an appointment soon with a high risk ob and nutritionist and so on. Any one else have this happen to them or know anything about it?
I got pregnant by surprise at 6 months post op...fyi.
Thanks for any help!

I would experience the same hot flashes/cold sweats, etc you experienced both before and after I got preggo. I mentioned it to my regular dr prior to even trying to get preggo. I knew it was my sugar because if I ate something (with sugar, etc) in it I would come back out of it. I just started last week with the nutr in regards to my diet and I test my blood sugars three times a day. I go back in two weeks and we will see how it's going. The meal plan they set for me is very reasonable, and mostly what I was already eating. It is difficult at times to get in all the food they want me to (esp at dinner and right before bed); but I am working on different items from the list every day trying to get it all in. So hopefully yours will be simple like mine....Good luck! Stacey
