I have used Olan Mills in K-mart for the past couple pics of matthew.  If you would like I can send you an invite to see the last 2 sessions.  I'll need your email address.  They were under 50.00 both times.

We used Sears. Most pics were good. A few times were fair, depending on the skill of the photographer. The pics are pretty generic and none of look better than usual or anything, but they worked for our needs.

I've always wondered about OM Tracy, but never tried them. Is it reasonably priced?

I love how the picture people do their pictures, but I also can't afford them. I've done them in the past and was so happy with them, but not happy with their prices. I've tried Olan Mills (hated it), wal-mart (hated it), and Jc Penny which I like. Olan Mills photographer was by herself and didn't team up with someone so she didn't get any good smiles, quality was ok. Wal-mart was the worst quality. They were a little fuzzy and again they didn't pair up with anyone which helps her to smile. Jc Penny paired up with someone, one person shoot pictures the other making her smile and the pictures turned out way cute each time. Also Jc Penny usually always has coupons which is like 3.99 a sheet that you can mix and match with poses. I think with my daughter, she really needs an extra person there to entertain her and make her smile, when she was younger it was really hard to get her to smile for pictures, so I tried many different portrait places.

OOPS just saw that you posted about portrait innovations already! I always used the Picture people with my trio, I get coupons from them all the time in the mail, the last one I got was a free 10x13 or 8x10 and 20% each additional sheet, maybe they have something online? Worth a shot to look! I was alwasy pleased with them.

I love PP, & we always use the coupons, but it's still usually at least $75 a session by the time we're done!  I just have zero desire to spend that this year.  They'll have to send me an amazing coupon for me to use them this year.

Since I haven't lived in the States for 9+ years, I don't know the exact prices, but call JC Penneys and Sears.  I used to do my son's pictures there all the time and I loved them.  They usually do have a sitting fee (used to be $12.95)...but if you look in magazines like 'Parents' or something similar, they often will have those little flyer things with coupons for no sitting fees, or a free picture or something like that.  They also have 'packages' where you can buy a package of pictures...they were not expensive.  It hink Walmart does pictures too, but I've never used them.  I used to use KMart also and they did a fine job w/my son's pictures.  I'd think you should be able to get pictures for way less than $100.

The catch is...you have to post some here for us to see!
