Vitamin D in pregnancy and neonates
Good information. I was lucky my OB did the test during my first set of labs, and sure enough, I was well below the line. I had to do the heavy dose of 50000 (yep four 0s) for 8 weeks to get it up and once I am complete there is a 1000 per day maintenance pill. They will test again when I finish the eight weeks (two more pills to go).
Good luck, and def something to get tested!!
Thanks, Stacey

Trust me -- there's enough to be guilty about being pregnant these days --
"I want that cold cut sub, but listeria!"
"I want that pedicure, but early labor!"
"I want that hair color, but fumes!"
"That looks like a nice piece o fish, but OMG MERCURY!!!"
Point is, THIS is something easy we can fix. We can ask to test it, and we can fix it. And it's cheap to treat.

I always enjoy your wealth of knowledge and research. I have had issues with recurrent bacterial vaginosis since about 6-8 months after RNY. I HATE IT!! If having a baby or being overweight doesn't kill your sex drive then this surely will. I actually had my doctor pull labs for vitamin D last week and am still waiting on the results. With all of the labs I get done every year that is not one of them.
Thanks for the info!

Yup! I noticed the link when you first put it up, or I might have seen it on the R&R board. I think it is awesome!
