Did you have any after effects? I am extra tired this morning and my arm is sore - not sure if it is related or it was my 2 trips to the bathroom last night instead of one lol

Thanks!

Hey Liz- I got the H1N1 last Friday (nov. 6th) and I had a slight headache and was very tired that very same day (I got both flu shots on the same day)...

I woke up the following day with a cold that I am still fighting, which is also listed as a side effect..here is the site I looked at after I got mine:
http://www.cdc.gov/h1n1flu/vaccination/vaccine_safety_qa.htm

Are there any side effects to the 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine?
CDC expects that any side effects following vaccination with the 2009 H1N1 influenza vaccine would be rare. If side effects occur, they will likely be similar to those experienced following seasonal influenza vaccine. Mild problems that may be experienced include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given, fainting (mainly adolescents), headache, muscle aches, fever, and nausea. If these problems occur, they usually begin soon after the shot and last 1-2 days. Life-threatening allergic reactions to vaccines are very rare. If they do occur, it is usually within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot is given.

Thanks Melissa! Googling was my next step but I know they always list everything - I like personal experiences better! lol

I don't get the regular shot until 11/19. I got the shot yesterday around 4 and they made me sit in the waiting room for 15 minutes to make sure I didn't have a reaction.

The site I gave is just the CDC, I don't go overboard with googling anything these days...there is too much about what happened to this person or that person during pregnancy. I have learned that this is MY pregnancy and I am not going to be like everyone else. Thinking like this is the only thing that will get me past 12 weeks I believe!!!! The first trimester is soo stressful with all the thoughts of misscarriage. I found myself waking up and immediately trying to see if my symptoms were still here...lol

As women we worry about everything anyway, then a baby growing inside us to top it off!

Hope your arm feels better soon, it says it lasts an average of 1-2 days.

I had the Live vaccine 2 weeks ago. Four of us took it at the same time. Two of the people were tired, achy, and had slight headaches the next day or so, The other 2, me and the Doc, felt perfectly fine with no side effects at all. Again, we had the Live nasal one though.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

I had the live nasal last weekend as well and I was EXTREMELY tired almost falling asleep on my desk and just felt "sick" overall. Lasted one day and I feel fine now. Nylah didn't seem to have any side effects from it.

thanks Ladies - a lot of the symptoms are the same as my pregnancy symptoms (expect for the sore spot on my arm - but they did jab a sharp metal object into my muscle...) I'm not worried - just curious!

Thanks!

I got the vaccine this past Tuesday and didn't really have any problems.  I was already experiencing and upper respiratory irritation, but I didn't notice any additional symptoms.

Take care!
