OT - Thank You Veterans

I know we have a lot of military wives here so where better to post.

I want to thank all of those veterans who have left country, family and friends to protect our freedom. Freedom is never free - they have paid our debt for us in the manner of lost times with family, missing out on births of their children, the "firsts" of their children, missed birthdays and holidays, but most of all with their blood sweat and tears. I am eternally grateful to all those who have served and are currently serving. You have made it possible for us to have the freedom we all cherish.

Freedom isn't Free. I am the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran and this pride has been instilled in me well since birth - the Marine Corp Anthem was one of the first songs I learned.

IF everyone can take a moment today also to remember all those affected by the tragedy at FT Hood last week.

THANK YOU Veterans!! AND the wives, sisters, mothers and friends that stand by them no matter what.

Thank you to all the Veterans who served and continue to serve our country. You are greatly appreciated and loved. My husband was in the Marine Corp, when we were first married, and this day and yesterday the Corps birthday is very special in our home. We try to in still in our children the importance and the sacrifice of these men and women. Thank you again Veterans.

Liz,
My 4 year old listens to the Marine Copr Anthem every night on his MP3 player. He likes to fall asleep to it.

Thanks Liz....I appreciate that very much!

I am a daughter of a USN sailor and a wife of a current USN sailor (who is getting his pack-out in MD to move back to GA tomorrow....WOOOOOO HOOOOO)

Today was pretty special not only because of my father and husband (and other relatives) but my son Nathan was born one year ago today....I will post more on that.....very sentimental day for me!

I serve on the board for our Military Affinity Group at our office and handing out flags and pins today started the day off. We then had a moment of silence out at our office flags with playing of TAPS and reading of the ten associates we have lost in the war. We rounded it out with a COL from the Army here at Ft McPherson doing a speech on selflessness leadership. It all was incredibly moving and I cried throughout the day.....

Freedom is CERTAINLY not free.....

God Bless the Vets!

and man oh man, can I NOT wait to hold my DH vet in a few days.....home at last!

Thanks again!
