at home doppler?
OK so I went online in search of a fetal heart doppler lol I am hooked to that sound and would love for my family to hear it! Well I wandered over to e-bay and found one that is brand new that looks very much like the one that my Dr had - hand held, nothing fancy. Now based on what I was finding it isn't "top of the line" it was $60. I sure hope that it works well! lol if not I'll return it - I have a 30 day return policy but for $60 I thought I'd take a risk. Any one out there purchase an inexpensive one and have it work well?
Thanks!

I had so many issues with my 3rd preg. I bought one on Ebay, but it is medical grade. I LOVED it!! My sis-in-law just asked me to borrow it, I am "forgetting" it for now, because she is only 8 weeks and I think she should hear it at the Dr.'s office first. If she cant find it I am worried she will freak! If it doesnt work good Liz PM me, I will let you know what this one is called and I have TONS of the gel stuff still sealed if you need. I hope it arrives fast!! It is the best time. I felt like it was bonding with the LO everynight we would lay in bed and listen to the HB!! I really miss that! :)
Thanks! The one she had literally looked like a box with a tiny ultrasound probe - at first I thought that she was going to take my temp! lol It says that it is FDA approved and it's made by "sonoline" and it comes with 2oz of the gel, here's the pic of it. We have a big "girls weekend" where all the female members of my family (aunts, cousins, grandmother) everyone gets together - the company is literally like 20 minutes from my office - I asked him if he could ship it tomorrow so I have it friday - I'd LOVE to let the ladies hear it over the weekend!
Thanks for the offer - I'll let you know how I make out!
PS - I think I've mentioned it before - you are less then an hour from me! *baby brain!* lol

You can't pick up the heartbeat on dopplar - even at the OB - until you're something like 12 or 14 weeks... so it wouldn't do any good to give it to her now. At least that's what my doc said. I had several appts in my first trimester and therefore had 3 ultrasounds before hearing the heartbeat on dopplar (it could be heard on the ultra). I was 15 weeks the first time he used dopplar.
Yeah!! I hope you have it for the GIRLS!! :) It is such fun. My sis in law is in Palmer...They will be here for Jiada's b-day this weekend. My cousin who has the store in Easton (on 11th and Lehigh) just left here!! LOL Small world! :) I cant wait to hear how it goes!! It looks like a good one.
**Edited to add** If you use it as much as I did you will blow through that bottle of gel...I will hook you up!! LOL

Below is a link to a company that will rent you a Doppler at no cost if you have had a pg loss. They will not rent it to you until you are 12 weeks along and they would like to to return it to them 10 days after delivery and if they have not received it 4 weeks after delivery they will then charge you.
