Hi New to this Forum
I was too newly postop too gain much during PG, but I can tell you that within 2 weeks after having Everett, I was down 30 lbs.
While I welcomed the addition of another child, I was terrified that the PG would undo the WLS in some way. Not so. It's a hard concept to put the weight loss focus aside after it has become who we are. But I assure you that you WILL be able to lose weight after just as you could before the PG.
Try to continue a food log so you feel the accountability, but know that you will need extra calories as the baby grows and gaining weight when PG is ok. Come up with a reasonable plan and/or suggested weight gain amount with your OB and Bariatric Dr. Then have a plan post-baby that allows you to ease back into more rigorous exercise. For now, keep walking - it's a great way to release endorphins, tone muscles, aerate your organs and just burn some calories!
Congrats and hugs,

Good luck and enjoy every minute of it. This is my first pregnancy (I have 2 other girls) as a non fat person and the experience is so different. It's just amazing I can feel every little movement he makes.
Hello my friend! Funny how life works isn't it? Congrats on the pregnancy. I am freaked out by the weight gain but going to be positive for the baby's sake and keep focused on eating heatlhy for the baby. It isn't all about me anymore!!! LOL
I am so happy for you and what a blessing. This will be my second baby- first as having a semi normal BMI. So far the only thing different is that i am eating a lot more healthy then my first (because now i know how to) and trying to get my walk on everyday. My last pregnancy i didn't move at all and would drink about 3 to 4 regular coke and pepsis a day. Since surgery, i don't even drink soda at all. I gained about 50 to 60 pounds with my son. Hopefully with the lifestyle changes i have made it will be different this time.
hugs to you and great to hear your news and from you.
