Soaking Through Everything Overnight!

Elijah is 14 months old and typically soaks though his heavy duty overnight diaper (and pjs and sleep sack--and sometimes the sheet, too) three or four times a week.  I'm sure it's uncomfortable for him and part of the reason he wakes up at 6:00am.  This mama is a little tired of doing extra laundry, too.  We changed from size 3 to 4 and that helped for a little while but we can't go any larger because he's already on the low end of the weight range for size 4 diapers.  We're using Huggies Overnites; are Pampers Baby Dry Overnight Extra Protection Diapers better?  Any other ideas?

We tried the overnight diapers with Jack and they failed.   So we sized up and use Huggies Little Movers.   

He has a soak fest every once in a blue moon after the switch.

The Huggies Overnites worked best for us.  Pampers Overnites didn't.  She is a girl though so they wet differently.

Big thing was for us to do a last minute diaper change between bottle and bed. 

I hear putting an absorbent pad (the kind used in cloth diapers) can help a lot.

At babies R us they sell  disposable diaper liners.  They look like big huge maxi pads with out the sticky tape.   Look for them next to the pull ups.    You get 30 in a pack for around $4.00.   Hannah occasionally still leaks even with the liners, but it's not an every day thing.   I've heard they sell them at Food lion too, but I've never been able to find them there.

The Pampers overnights are just like Luvs, only a little more expensive & don't have Blues Clues.  I like the Huggies Overnights, I've not tried anything other than those 2.  How much is he drinking in the few hours before bed?
