Hi, I had my RNY on June 15th 2009 and I have 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant, so I got pregnant only 3 months out....everything is fine. You will need to call an OB, call your surgeons office and see your nutritionist.

I just had to add a few more vitamins for baby healthy growth and up my calories and add some carbs. I have still be losing weight and my OB/Surgeon know this will happen, I am tryingto slow it down and seems to be working.

Congrats on being pregnant, a pregnancy at 100 pounds lighter- how wonderful!

Welcome!
Baby girl Morgan born 5/28/10, 2 weeks before my 1 year surgiversary. Angel concieved 09/10, lost 10/13/10, was due in June 2011. Baby #2 (our rainbow) on their way, due 7/27/11- Miley Victoria or Maddox Michael

Add carbs back in - I was told I need 100 grams of carbs, 90 grams of protein and 1800 - 2000 calories. Consult with your nutritionist, surgeon and OB right away!

Congrats!

Honey, you aren't the first woman to get pregnant before the recommended 12-18 months and you won't be the last.    The main concern is to stay out of ketosis.    Call your surgeon and OB.  You'll need to stay on top of your labs to make sure your not deficient in anything.
Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS!

Relax and don't worry! I got pregnant at 2 1/2 months post op (on accident) and my baby is growing like a weed and I am still melting away! As long as you follow all the rules and recommendations put in place by your OB, Nut, & Surgeon you and baby should be just fine! I eat like a horse most days and still lost a bunch of weight up until now. I have finally put on 5 lbs after losing 70 since conception. My baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead and is a porker! Lol! Because of your weight loss your pregnancy will probably go a lot better than it would have if you would have had this baby pre WLS. Congratulations!

I had RNY on April 20th. Just found out yesterday that I too am pregnant!  Talk about a shocker.  I have an appt with the OB on 11/16.

I think we'll be ok.  I'm gonna hold off on calling my surgeon until after I meet with the OB.

thank you everyone!!! I have a doctors appointment today.... Its starting to sink in now.... When i was overweight it took 1.5 years to get pregnant with my son. So when i found out i was pregnant with him i was hoping and praying and thrilled when i found out. this time was a whoops! and i think i was more uncomfortable with my own feelings because i wasnt thrilled. After a few days to sink in, its starting to grow on me, and i am getting more excited everyday. thanks so much for the support when i needed it most.... im off to the doctor to make it official!    :-O
