TTC our first together

I know its been forever since I've been on here and alot has changed. Namely, I'm no longer married and am now with the man who is the other part of my soul. Thats all a very long drawn out story.  My fiance and I are ttc our first together.  This is actually our first month trying.  Its been so long since I even thought I could get pregnant since my soon to be ex had the vasectomy and then a few years ago the failed reversal (our divorce has nothing to do with the failed vas reversal).  I'm taking my vitamins, folic acid.  He lives 2 hours away and my period has started Sept 24, oct 24, and I was supposed to O between the 5th and 9th of this month.  I'm not sure we caught it at the right time but I had the cm like looked like egg whites day before yesterday and a lil yesterday.  We bd'ed yesterday and today so we will see in a few weeks.  Is there anything else I should be doing to get prepared?  It has been years and I"m not quite sure if I'm doing all I need too.  When we actually get moved in together, I'm sure bd'ing around exactly the right time will be easier lol.  Thanks for all the tips and congrats to all u new mommas, those of u who are preg and lots of baby dust to all ttc!

yay for TTC!  We got pregnant after 4 months, and my biggest suggestion is use Ovulation Predictor Kits, and STOP drinking caffeine and alcohol if you do.  The month we BOTH stopped drinking caffeine, is the month we got preggo!
