heacop?
Hi,
Well I was sent home Tuesday and was back in the hospital for good Thursday night. I had some bleeding and got pretty scared. It has stopped. The insurance company and my doctor said I am here until delivery. I am very relieved because I did not know what I should be looking for at home to come back to the hospital. Here they are doing ultrasounds and watching my cervix. My stress at home was incredible, I was terrified.
The contractions are under better control, have had some breakthroughs but pretty irregular. The good thing was they thought my bloodsugars were too low and they took me OFF glyburide on Tuesday and my sugars have been excellent. Consistently in the 80s two hours after meals and fasting. I am 22 weeks and 2 days so am feeling better about making it to 24 weeks. My cervix today had barely changed from Tuesday so I was very relieved and I have not dialated still which is what I was worried was happening when I started bleeding.
I had the H1N1 shot today and my only real concern at the moment is not seeing my other kids while I am here. The hospital changed its visitor's policy on November 1st and do not allow anyone under 18. The case manager and the charge nurse said that we would figure something out. They suggested that my children get the H1N1 shot as well as myself and after ten days they would possibly be allowed to visit because they would not bring it into the hospital. They suggested that I could be wheeled out to the waiting areas and meet with them there and if all else fails I will but it is very painful to sit at this point so hopefully we can figure something else out.
Thank you for thinking about me! I am dealing better emotionally and psychologically with things at this point. I am still worried something may happen but do not feel on the verge of it happening any second. Mostly because the contractions are under better control.
Talk to you soon!

I'm glad they put you in the hospital - not that it's the funnest place to be, but it's where you need to be. It's good the contractions are slowing down and your sugar is in the normal range. I'm sure the hospital will work out letting your other children up to see you. Getting them vaccinated is a good idea, just because it gets them up to you. I hope you know it's said with the best intentions when I say that I hope you're stuck there in that hospital bed for a good long time...the longer the better. 10-12 weeks minimum would be good! Keep baking them babies as long as possible...and feel free to chat away here with us to keep you entertained.

Thank you very much! Yes I am hoping I will be stuck here for awhile myself. My hubby brought me yarn to crochet with and my bar review stuff so I can study for the February bar exam. I also have library books to read so I just intend to keep myself busy and let time pass. My stress level has lowered so much I can hardly believe it. I am sure I will be prowling the message board on a regular basis for human contact. Other than my hubby I haven't had any human visitors so this will be my source of adult conversation.
The babies are very active and I am not spotting anymore. I had contractions again last night, they monitored them and the doctor's orders were if they were more than 6 in an hour for two hours and getting fluids into me and laying on my side did not stop them than the on call doctor was to be contacted. So although water and lying on the side helped it did not stop them or make them less than 6 in an hour. I also had my next dose of Procardia in the middle of the monitoring and they did not stop still. So the on call doctor had me get terbutaline and ambien and they stopped. So I was relieved that I was here, they got it stopped and I got six hours of sleep to boot.
Talk to you later!
