Emotions and a rant

OK So I am at work today. Someone (think big hairy Russian polar bear) came up to my office and started screaming because I asked him to do something. I never accused anyone of not doing their job (which he implied) I just noted that these need to have a line engraved in them. Well I was already feeling extra emotional today and just about cried... I HATE when that happens at work - I finally looked at him and said listen, there's no reason to yell at me - just engrave the freakin line and move on. No one made a mistake (other then me maybe for not being clear enough even though this was a repeat project of something we have done 100 times)

UGH!!! How do you deal with those emotional moments at work?? I work with mostly men - union sheet metal workers to be specific - so they aren't always the most sensitive or understanding people alive.

Thanks ladies - just needed to vent.

Oh and it doesn't help that I can't take my xanax because I am pregnant and have weaned myself off of my daily Wellbutrin.

Heh heh.... I have no advice as I only went off once on someone at work while pregnant.... and it was over the phone.  The emotions got better (easier to contain) the further along I got.  Then it was just physical discomfort.

BUT I am laughing because my husband is a union sheet metal worker.....well he was before his kidney transplant put him on disability.  I won't tell him you think they are insensitive.  LOL.

Wish I had more advice for you!

LOL!!! 90% of the guys down there are the best that there are - they were at my wedding, they come to my house - we hang out together etc. Actually it is just 2 of them - one is the one I had the issue with and the other is well just a "city guy" and rough around the edges.

I love my union boys!! :)
