I saw Renae and Shannyn post on FB....Shannyn has not touched base with her hubby yet and I know the base is on lockdown. I work for a Military affiliate Corp and they are giving us updates...I hope everyone is ok. So sad.

Thanks for the update Samara....I am thinking Renae is in OKC and Shannyn in Ft Hood....but glad to see them both post...prayers for Shannyn still.....

I just saw this and like Jo, thought we have contacts there....hope we hear from them soon.   Gosh, such a shame when things come to this....sending up prayers.

Its been crazy out here. Phones dont work at all. Only access to the world is computers right now. I was at the hospital for my NST when all of this started. Luckily it was an early out at school so my kids had just gotten home. Phones were out and when this first happened they would not let us leave the hospital or anything. I was terrified and could not contact my kids or husband. I can get messages in now but they come in spurts and then I cant answer back cause communication goes right back down. My husband did get to leave a voicemail and I got it earlier but I am sure he is worried about us now also cause he said he found a land line to call me from and then I would not answer the phone. Guess he forgot they shut down our phones too. So nothing since then but he did say that when and if they come home tonight he does not want the kids in the room cause his uniform is messed up. He did not sound well at all. Nothing since then though. My 11 year old is very worried. My 15 year old is sitting here with us. They have us all in lock down and telling us to stay inside with doors locked and all. Not letting anyone in or out of post yet. I am sure hoping I dont go in to labor tonight. That would be awful.

Please though pray for the 12 soldiers killed and 31 wounded!! This has not only affected these people but every one of the soldiers out here. People never think about that. All of these soldiers are affected by these sorts of things. On both sides it was one of their own. Its awful.

Shannyn - thoughts and prayers going out to everyone. I am glad to hear that your hubby is OK. Although I am sure that this is going to take a while to recover from mentally and as a community.

You're right, tonight would not be a good night to go into labor - hang in there little girl!
