I am still in limbo

 Well Ladies.....
Things are not looking so good for me. I went in last week to have my friend the ultrasound tech scan me. As most of you I know I had a loss almost 3 months ago, I am pretty paranoid about this pregnancy.
Well I went in last Wed and she scanned me and we saw a nice strong yolk sac but she said if there was a fetal pole it was to small to see. She said I am measuring 5w5d and I was 6w2d. So I was expecting to see a heartbeat. Well I do have a tilted uterus so I am just trying to be optimistic. Maybe I am measuring a little behind.
Well I went back tonight to see what was happening. I was praying all the way there please let me see a heartbeat. I am 7 weeks today. We saw the crown rump but still no heartbeat. She said that things are not looking good. Not to get my hopes up. She is one of my oldest friends and she knows I can handle the truth. I will go back next Mon to check again for a heartbeat.
I am so praying this baby is just a little slower to get going and we will see that heartbeat.
I also feel like I am kidding myself and I better just get ready for this miscarriage.
Thanks for letting me vent.

I thought heart beats where supposed to start at 8 weeks? I understand why you are worried but remember that miscarriage is very very common and just because you had one does not mean you will have another. ((HUGS)). I'll be crossing my fingers for good news at your next appointment! :)

Amy - hoping and praying that yous ee that little flicker when you go in again!!! My OB wouldn't do a US until I was 8 weeks because she said that is when you can be certain to see the heartbeat - depending on when the baby implanted etc things can be off a few days either way.

*hugs*

Hang in there!!

Sending positive thoughts- It is great that you are able to get those sneek peaks- and it does help to be able to handle what is happening.  I think that is why my RE does so many u/s in the beginning..we track from seeing the implantation in uterus to baby growing a tad before going to see other Dr's.  Knowing things were behind or on track really helped me. I know I was always told that u/s isnt exact for measuring and sometimes implantation time varies from what we think it should be so- keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I hope things turn around for you and you do get to see that little flicker soon.  Any chance your friend can hook you up w/someone to do some blood work to check the hcg 2x just so you know if it's going u*****t?

I know what it's like worrying after having a mc...and it's easy for any of us to tell you to not worry...but we both know that ain't gonna happen...so all I can say is try to keep it in check and know that there's nothing you can do to change the outcome, whatever it is.

Keep us posted.  I'll be praying for you and your bean.

I hope that all is well and that you're just not quite as far as you thought. I sure hope you get to hear a heartbeat next week.

Amy~ Like the others said, a lot of ob's won't do the scan until 8 weeks. Why don't you try to get some blood tests to check your numbers to ease your mind. You are gonna drive yourself nuts. Also, I was off a few days too due to when I implanted I am sure. Remember, for today you are pregnant...and I know easier said than done, but try to relax...the stress isn't good. Keeping this in prayer...keep us posted. Shari

I have an app. with the OB on monday the 9th. So I will be 8 weeks on that day. I really hope the heart is beating by then. My friend said that they like to see a heart beat any time after 5w6d. I will wait it out and see what the ob says next week. That is really all I can do at this point.
Thanks for all of your well wishes and thoughts. I will keep you all posted.
