Update on my weekend bleeding ..

I saw my OB this morning after having some light bleeding yesterday and he confirmed that I did have a miscarriage. He said it just happened probably early in the weekend and there are no obvious signs why. My placenta is still fully, perfectly round and intact and he said it may be weeks before everything comes out. He gave me the option of a DNC tomorrow but I scheduled for next Tuesday with the hope that everything will happen on its own before then.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope your body is able to complete the process on it's own.

When I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year, I had no bleeding or symptoms at all. When I went for a dating sonogram and learned the embryo had stopped developing 3 weeks earlier, the bleeding started that night.

My point in telling you this is that I really learned how our minds and bodies are connected. Once my mind knew that the pregnancy was over, my body kicked in and did what it needed to do.
